A real hop-feast of a beer! Two English and two Continental hops give a very satisfying bitter yet flowery palate. Maize, wheat and barley malts combine with the hops to yield a very soft flavoursome pale thirst quenching ale.

On handpump at Tree Folk’s pub in Rome-Italy, with luttonm. Pours a proper golden semi-filtered color, tick creamy white foam. Nose: lemony and slightly yeasty. Mouth: soft yeast note, frizzy lemony skin feel, bread crumb, grains. Average!

Stale pale golden and a rapidly dissipating head, fair lacing. Plain and dusty lemon nose. Fairly coarse and gripping forced hop bitterness. Odd thin mouthfeel with a frothing/cloying finish. Dry lemony sook on the finish. Might have been passable with a bit more carbonation or body, but this is for from a hop fest.

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A pale blonde coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. Very zesty lemon notes throughout. Too much really turning out phenolic and harsh. A yeasty nose and an odd spiciness. Not really that nice.

A Mes rate: cask at the Nags Head.
Amber gold with a thin but lasting white head. Fairly bland on the nose but there are some pretty decent grassy hops there if you dig deep. In the mouth... drinkable, well balanced, extremely dull. Faint hops, some mineral notes. Very faint caramalt in the finish. That’s really all there is. Overall, inoffensive, mindnumbingly dull.
