COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Spring.
A real hop-feast of a beer! Two English and two Continental hops give a very satisfying bitter yet flowery palate. Maize, wheat and barley malts combine with the hops to yield a very soft flavoursome pale thirst quenching ale.

Cask (handpump) at the Wyndham Arms, Salisbury, Wiltshire. Perfectly pleasant but a little short of zing IMHO. Very pale straw colour with a greenish tinge. Vaguely grassy aroma with touches of Gooseberry leaf. Distinctly herbaceous. Fruity, lemony flavour. Sort of lemon barley water character. Finishes dry. Light body. No complaints but not too exciting. Many of the pale Hop Back beers are a bit to samey for my liking.

Cask Conditioned, at the Market Porter, Borough, London .
Very pale yellow body. Not the most attractive of beers. Distant citrus hop notes. Too wet for my liking.

Cask@The Roebuck, Richmond, London. Grainy and grassy, with lemony fruit, and a crisp finish, light bitterness, quite refreshing, but nothing special.

Hand pulled at the Hogshead, Birmingham. Very well balanced. Yellow, with a soapy, scum head. Dry, biscuity, but with juicy summery fruit notes also: lemon, orange, pineapple. Moments of sweet and bitter, with a long dry finish. Good stuff, very fresh.

Golden lager color. Small creamy white head. Grassy and yeasty aroma. Smooth, medium-bodied. Finishing with hoppy bitterness. (6/2/6/4/12 3.0). Cask@Winchester Gate, Salisbury. Pale golden color, small white head. Aroma is kind of mix of yeast and hops. Hoppy, refreshing. (6/2/7/3/12 3.0)

Cask conditioned @ The Milburys, Beauworth. Highly aromatic citrus zest hit my nose as it was poured into the pint glass. Good 'zingy' citric hops with hefty dose of yeast. Quite sweet up front with growing bitterness and subtle pepper nuances. Loses the 'zing' as you drink as yeastiness dominates leaving a softer less defined drink.

Cask Conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Pale straw with bubbly head. Fresh hoppy aroma gives over to a dry lemony beer, refreshing and bitter. Hops all the way with this one. I'm hoping to find it under better conditions to really give it a try.
