Nice golden colour, few head. The aroma is fruity (apricots and lemon).Light and refreshing malty flavour with fruity traces, with a good hoppy finish, not too bitter. Really interesting.

Cask at Cloisters. Pale yellow amber, thick bubbly white head. Nice resinous grassy hops, touch of lemon zest. Sweet and juicy, nice soft bitternesss. Not bad at all.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 JorgeLee (330) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2012
Cask at the Bull in Watton-at-Stone. Pale yellow colour with a small head. A dry bitter with some lemon flavour and a bitter hop finish. A good pint, although I sympathise with the other reviewers who find it not as much of a standout beer as 10 years ago - maybe the others have caught up?
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Benjii (2410) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 10, 2012
On cask at The Southern Bar. Pours a golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of banana, yeast and caramel. Mildly bitter with similar flavours and lingering banana again. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. OK.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 a_cross (53) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2012
Cask; Golden; a wonderful attack of warm summer fruit to begin; pleasant hop bitterness then comes to the fore; some grainy malt; an aggressive bitter finish; a complex, excellent strong bitter although not easy-drinking
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 mjs (3000) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 27, 2012
(Cask at Angleterre, 20120427) The beer poured pale golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, lemongrass and mildly malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, citricness, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, malty and bitter. The aroma and the taste of this beer were from different worlds. I remember liking this beer like ten years ago but now this was quite confusing mess.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 HopfenWeisse (283) - - APR 22, 2012

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ritchiehicks (2) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012 does not count
An excellent ale on draft or bottled. A straw colour, light floral flavour with a hop aroma and citrus undertone. Very lively from the bottle so ideal to open in advance of pouring. One of few that copes being chilled to lager levels so suitable for barbecues or summer functions, but better served chilled not cold.
Recommended and a good start for a larger drinker experimenting with Real Ale. An excellent beer.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Metalchopz (1429) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 15, 2012
Originally rated September 2004. Says that this beer won more than 70 awards, on the label. Poured a light golden colour with a big white foamy head that lasted. Very good lacing. This brew was slightly hazy from the small amount of natural sediment that escaped the bottom of the bottle. Aromas are malty at first, but as the beer breathes, aromas turn to hop. Taste is mildly bitter yeast with hints of lemon. The body is thin, carbonation is medium and finish is dry. I’ve heard great things about this beer, but for me it just does not do it.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2012
After giving this a crap review in its bottled form (on BA) I’m now evening up the balance with this cask review.
Hand pulled into a pint UK sleeve in one of my local pubs on 2 Sep 2011.
Good deep golden body with a thin white head that tried to stay around awhile.
The smell was of floral hops and hints of some citrus interest.
The taste was a well balanced blend of semi-sweet biscuity malts and mildly bitter hops. The hops becoming more dominant as the beer warmed and the mouth dried.
A whole lot better than the bottled version, are they the same beer?
