COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mainly available bottle conditioned. Has also appeared occasionally in cask.
Same recipe as bottled Spring Zing, though without Styrian Goldings, and with more lemongrass.
A fantastic pale gold colour with hints of lemon grass and coriander. A perfect companion to any oriental meal.

Yellow with white head, looks like a pilsener. Refreshing aroma ith lemon (of course), hops and pepper. Dry flavour, quite weak, and also very fresh. If I could get it cheaper it could become a great summer favourite, but when I can get trappists and Fuller ales at similar prices...

Jan 2012 - pretty bad really, was expecting something at least average. Very poor watery and unappealing flavour.

Bottle courtesy of Bernie's, Solihull. Looks awful. A Budweiser clone. However, the coriander does give it a certain zing normally associated with higher alcohol content. Didn't really get the lemongrass though. Probably would be a good beer with spicy food as the beer provides genuine competition to the chilli, however, on it's own it's not a classic. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Half pint on Cask at the Feathers, London SW1 (JAN ’12). Slightly cloudy pale yellow in colour with a very small white head that soon subsided. Was expecting a stronger lemon smell from this beer, but only very subtle, faint smell of wheat and hops but overall no strong senses to hit the nose with, very slight fruity aroma. Taste wise again, not a lot going on here very slight lemon flavour along with subdued hops and a weakish bitter finish and aftertaste. Not really getting corriander, but some spice flavour there. Fairly clean and refreshing finish, but overall nothing special, probably the weakest beer I’ve sampled from the Hopback family!

Cask at The Gate, Northwood (Ember Inn). A golden coloured pour with a small white fluffy head on top. Citrus fruit aroma. Tastes vaguely hoppy, citrus fruit, thin and boring.
