Cornfield (4469), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Feb 11, 2005 Made with 50% wheat malt, I don’t understand why this is considered a "golden" on this site rather than a wheat ale. (Michael Jackson labels it as such.) Whatever, it’s one fine drink. It pours a clear golden color with a lofty white head that thickly laces the sides of the glass. The aroma is light and sweet with traces of banana and wet grasses. The carbonation is lively, yet this has a light mouthfeel. The taste is sweet and malty with banana and a twist of lemon. Clean finish. This is a refreshing wheat ale. henrikb (1182), Aarhus, Denmark Apr 22, 2008 Cask - Slightly hazy straw golden body, lasting creamy white head; Not to big but beautiful balanced earthy hoppy nose; Very soft textured body, balanced hoppy bitter and sweet, the bitterness grow seriously and makes the finish quite dry, lots of hop aroma, some flowery sweetness. Very nice! motelpogo (4360), Plzen, Czech Republic Feb 5, 2004 a genuinely strange beer. some coriander in the aroma with slightly stale malt. long wheat taste, slightly sour and salty with a broad hop finish and faint composty strangeness rauchbier (2882), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Aug 12, 2002 Re rate. Bottle conditioned. Still had an unruly head and a few floaters, but the fact that this bottle was 3 months past its best before date seemed to have smoothed out some of the rough edges on this beer. Spicy lemon, corriander and elderflower in the nose, fruit and a tart citrus note in the mouth and a dry finish with a lingering hint of corriander. imdownthepub (4311), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Nov 14, 2003 Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Hazy golden beer with bubbly white head. A wheaty, citric, lemony. Definite wheat aspect with overlaid hops. a very decent beer.
