Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Pale gold with white head. Very farmy nose leading to a sulphery, burtonised flavour, Pithy citric bitter notes giving plenty of depth. Interesting pale beer.

Cask handpull, The Crown, Nuneaton. Brilliant pale gold with a foamy white collar. Reeks of Burton and not fruit; sulphur, CO2, grassy fizz, peanut butter. Dry and grassy without a hint of fruit; fresh bready malt and peanut butter, minerals. Thin and unsatisfying.

Cask Handpump from the Upstairs Bar at the Ship & Mitre, Liverpool 15/02/2008 Very hoppy and fruity aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy and fruity. Creamy on the palate with a crisp and floral slightly dry finish.
