3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thankfully currently on tap at Jack Astorís. Black with a fizzy tan head. Aroma was nice. Rosted malt, coffee, a little vanilla. Light and soft. Smooth with a slightly sweet finish. This is the best Hop City beer Iíve had yet.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Single can from the LCBO. Pours a dark brown colour with a big frothy beige head, good retention and soapy lace. Aromas of roasted malts and butterscotch with hints of grassy hops and nuts. Smooth mouthfeel, between wet and slightly creamy with a little stickiness. Light flavours of roasted malt, giving notes of coffee and nuts, with the nice yeast. I really enjoyed this one, and so did Lilihel. She would keep some of these in her fridge.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Can (473ml)] Pours ruby-brown with a huge lasting frothy beige head and lacing on the glass. Malty aroma, bready, a bit nutty and toasty, along with eggshells, chocolate and light hops. Light but pleasant enough malty & chocolatey flavour along with some nuttiness. Average bodied. A good beer but sorry, not a Schwarzbier.

King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

The beer pours a sold black colour with a thin rocky tan coloured head. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, and weak herbal hops. The mouthfeel was thin to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was watered down coffee, with chocolate and roast certainly prevalent. Not as good as Silversmith for a Canadian schwarzbier

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
can from LCBO, pours with a nice foamy head. Reddish black colour is interesting for a "lager"
Very tasty, espresso and coco sneaking through.
Smooth very drinkable, for sure picking up more of this.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
473ml can from the lcbo. Deep brown, tan head. Roasty aroma. Semi sweet flavour. Highly drinkable. Is it a Schwarzbier, maybe, but itís a damn fine session weight black lager. Iíll be buying this again, and again.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
473 mL can from LCBO served cold in a tulip glass. Deep brown with ruby highlights and a nice mocha head. Clean roasted barley, dark-roasted malts, a little coffee, a bit of chocolate as it warms. Medium+ body with somewhat aggressive carbonation. Roasted barley, coffee and chocolate, a touch of tang, some Pils malt, alright; dry with limited bitterness and a fairly clean, roasted finish. Not quite sinful, but satisfying.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fairly darker brown colour. Lightly burntnuts, light chocolate aroma and a weird pungent mildew aroma. Medium bodied & dry, with some roast and a lightly bitter finish make this one of their better brews that iíve had to date.
