When your brewmaster comes up with a recipe as good as this one, you let him name the beer whatever he wants. Here’s what makes our recipe so darn good: a rich burnt orange colour, darker than most lagers, a smooth, medium body with a bold, but pleasant, hop taste, full of flavour, unlike your traditional ’cold-as-ice’ beers with no taste, made with only the best ingredients, including Canadian & English Malts, and German & Czech Hops.

Bottle, 5%. Buttery aroma. Clear amber colour. Small off-white head. The flavour also starts a little buttery, turns spicy, perhaps from the hops, and finishes on a sour grainy note.

Bottle. Pours clear tea amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit, malt, and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with malty and fruity notes and a touch of yeast. High carbonation. Sour-sweetish aftertaste. An OK amber lager, even though I am not a great fan of this beer style.

One of the better Lagers I’ve had. From a bottle at a party, not ice cold, maybe even slightly warm. I don’t usually drink this style but this looked interesting and I hadn’t had it before, so I figured, why not? Pleasantly surprised. Rich but not overly sweet; carbonated but not overdone.

12oz bottle from Redmonds. Really dark copper pour, really clear, rocky, frothy off white head which doesn’t last. Grain, yeast, doughy, a little spice in the aroma, strange. Flavour is more conventional, sweet caramel, a little watery, fairly highly carbonated. A little fruity hop bitterness in the finish. My first Canadian rating.

Amber with off white head. Crisp and malty like any well crafted lager. Not any surprises but it's a solid, drinkable and without any off flavors. Would buy it again if in the mood for a Sam Adams type beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Philly & Firkin: Amber with small creamy beige head. Hoppy floral aroma. Taste is a little muted with more hops and some fruit flavours. Toasty bitterness that comes up a little short for its name. Still a good lager anyhow.

Toffee coloured not much aroma but a balanced, taste of yeast not much of a palate.

473ml can into a shaker. Pours a golden copper colour with a fluffy head. Light malty and caramel flavour with a similar aroma. Medium bodied, decent lager.

Solid lager, nothing new. Enjoyable. Marginal. I would drink this frequently but this is the first time I have seen it.

Bottle from wegmans. Pours clear copper with a small white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma has light floral notes, light caramel, very light citrus. The taste has a light citrus note, light bitterness, interesting lager.
