When your brewmaster comes up with a recipe as good as this one, you let him name the beer whatever he wants. Here’s what makes our recipe so darn good: a rich burnt orange colour, darker than most lagers, a smooth, medium body with a bold, but pleasant, hop taste, full of flavour, unlike your traditional ’cold-as-ice’ beers with no taste, made with only the best ingredients, including Canadian & English Malts, and German & Czech Hops.

Pour a nice amber with a low white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma has a modest apple sweetness with a good amount of toasted and caramel malt with a nice lagery kick to finish. Flavor has a light apple juice start but moves into a toasted and caramel malt flavor with a nice light nutty ending. Body is very light with some nice fizzy feel. Overall not too bad.

Huge white fluffy head and lots of lacing. very little nose. Smooth drinking beer with nothing sticking out. Would drink a six pack on a hot day.

16 Oz. Can. Poured dark amber, clear, nice off white frothy head with lots of lacing. Pine hops aroma with hints of yeast. Flavor of malts, caramel and hops creates a balanced bittersweet flavor. Very easy to drink, very enjoyable beer.

Copper with a large white head. Aroma is lightly toasted malts, lightly sweet. Flavor is light sweet malts, toasty, a bit of earthy hops. Medium bodied. Easy going lager- would go a few rounds with this.

473 ml can from Andrei / Torpedo (non on ratebeer), thanks! Sampled on January 27, 2013.
Clear "Trocadero" brown color, fluffy off-white head. Sweet, malty, grainy scent. Malty, bitter taste. Roasted aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.

No prominent scent. There’s very minimal hops and bread like notes. The flavor is good. There is malts that were caramelized that gives a slight character to the flavor. The hops show up but are minimal in taste. There is a slight bitterness but doesn’t harm the palate. Overall nothing here stands out to make this drink memorable. Yet its a nice brew to chill with.

I had to sample this beer just from the name alone! This was a decently drinkable lager. It’s kinda on par with Boston Lager, but lacks a little in the flavor and hops departments. The beer poured a light amber color with very little head. There wasn’t much lacing around the glass, either. The nose was mostly sweet maltiness, but had a nice hint of spicy hops thrown in for good measure. The body was fairly consistent with the style; not too light, not too heavy. The flavors were very smooth and fairly delicious, with notes of sweet malt, hops and a little pine. The hops showed their best stuff toward the back of the of the flavors and in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer to drink one after another while hustling some pool tables.

Bottle. Clear light amber with a small, dense off white head. Aroma of bread dough and light caramel with some herbal hops. Flavor of mild caramel malt, medium hop bitterness and a clean yeast profile. Light body with average carbonation. Right on style, very clean lager with some light caramel and bitterness.

My first impression was this lager tastes like the aluminum can. The flavor has some mild hops, the color is golden with a white small head, nothing special. I don’t plan to try this again. Not impressed.
