When your brewmaster comes up with a recipe as good as this one, you let him name the beer whatever he wants. Here’s what makes our recipe so darn good: a rich burnt orange colour, darker than most lagers, a smooth, medium body with a bold, but pleasant, hop taste, full of flavour, unlike your traditional ’cold-as-ice’ beers with no taste, made with only the best ingredients, including Canadian & English Malts, and German & Czech Hops.

Great introductory craft beer. Good appearance, burnt orange color. Enjoyed the taste, not as hoppy as it sounds.

Not bad. Amber beer with solid flavor. Nice addition of hops give this a nice balance.

On tap at Darby's. clear amber. Watery malt taste. Toffee aroma. Nothing really happening.

Just what the world needed, another mediocre Canadian lager! On draught at The Pour House in Mountain Home, PA. Arrived to the table a clear amber with a moderate white head that left ample lace and lasted through the first half of the beer. That was the high point for this beer. Not very aromatic at all. The flavor is malt with a touch of caramel followed by some mild hops bitterness and a bit of astringency that lingers at the back of the throat after the swallow. Lacks the smoothness typically associated with lagers. Meh.

473ml can. Pours a copper colour with a thick off-white head. Smell is citrus, spices, and malt. Tastes pretty bland. Bitter with some sweetness but not as much flavour as I anticipated. A good beer nonetheless, give it a try.

Wow, surprisingly nice colour, nice head. Not overly carbonated. Starts with a bit of caramel in the aroma, but also some hop evident. Taste is merely OK, not a big presence at all. Little bit of astringency and a moderately long finish. Actually pretty refreshing. I could see this cleansing my palate between Belgian Strongs.

Sample. Pours a clear, fizzy auburn color with a thinner eggshell head. Nose of light caramel and touches of noble hops. Lighter on flavor, a touch more sweet than bitter. Medium bodied, very carbonated, with a pretty quick finish that hints at toast. Not a lot to it, nothing offensive but nothing truly inviting. Drinkable to a point, but it is on the heavier side for those who care to toss a few back.

Looks and smells fine. Bottle. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side, as the caramel sugar is almost on the burnt side. Good but a bit too sweet.

Better that I thought. Tastes like a good cheap (see blue ribbon) beer. If lagers weren’t made with adjuncts, that’s probably what it wud taste like. It tastes like getting drunk...which is not much

12 ounce bottle from the father in law, poured a black color with aromas of light toast, toffee, and some light hops. Flavors are the same, not my style of mixture of flavors, meh....
