2014/07/13 - Pours a hazy, yellow-straw colour, with a small, white head that quickly dissipates. No lacing. Aroma is yeast, wheat, citrus fruits, banana, clove and pepper. Taste is similar to nose; yeast, wheat, pepper, citrus, candy and mild banana and clove notes. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with average carbonation and a crisp, mildly metallic finish. Ok, but does not finish well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a good Hefeweizen. It tastes spot on and stays safe, but it deserves a better score than it receives. Pours a hazy straw with a creamy head. Aroma is of wheat, coriander, citrus, and a little vinous. Tastes of bubblegum, banana, wheat, citrus, and spices. Has a light body with high carbonation. This beer is tingly and refreshing.

The beer pours a hazed golden colour with a half inch white head that lasts less than a minute. The aroma is grains, and herbal hops. Nothing about the aroma screamed ’Hefeweizen’ to me. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was tart wheat, musty grains, and an off taste. This was bad!

Can: Poured a hazy pale yellow color ale with a light foamy head with minimal lacing. Aroma of medium wheat malt notes with limited ester. Taste is also dominated by wheat malt notes with no real bubble gum notes and limited ester and a dry finish. Body is light with OK carbonation. Unfortunately this one is a bit too bland for my taste buds.

An extremely approachable Weisse, this is a great introduction to the style without being off-putting or scary. A hazy yellow straw with a pillowy white head, this brew smells of wheat, yeast, bubblegum esters and a slightly metallic note. The taste is the same minus the metallic note, a fuller bodied example of the style and pretty refreshing. It’s a pretty basic no-frills Weisse that is a testament to its moniker.

473ml can from the LCBO. Pours a hazy gold/yellow body with a minimal to non-existent white head which dissipates entirely leaving no head. Aromas are some yeasty funk, banana, orange zest, tropical fruit, some notes of vanilla, clove and lemon are subtle. Some alcohol is present for a minor warmth. Medium to high carbonation. Medium bodied. Low percieved bitterness.

473ml can. Pours an opaque yellow with a white, one finger head. Aroma has nice notes of wheat, citrus, banana, and hints of candy sugar, bubble gum, and spice. Taste is balanced. Citrus, wheat, and a mild sweetness. Medium body with a medium-high carbonation. Clean and refreshing in the mouth with a medium-dry finish. Overall a pretty standard beer bit still refreshing and easy drinking.

Treditional weise. Citrus and coriander on the tongue and a little funk in the nose. Not bad

473ml can. Clear golden pour with a thin white head. Flavors are banana, wheat, bread, citrus, cloves and pepper. A bit heavy on the phenolic side. Medium body, lively carbonation, thin texture.

Pours clear straw colour (odd for the style) with a fluffy white head. Aroma includes notes of sour fruit, yeast, and coriander. Tasting notes include orange peel, tart esters, pinch of coriander. Not bad, but I have had much better Hefe’s.
