on tap at hardrock 42 in sudbury.
light hazy yellow pour, big white frothy head. Aroma of cloves, light minerals, and some citrus zest. flavor is bright, and lemony. mouthfeel is bang on, carb is a little low. very mineral finish with an astringent bitter finish.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 thb (485) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 16, 2010
I was actually really impressed by this one. Appearance was a bit off - it wasn’t nice and cloudy like the best weizens and its head was forgettable. But it was very bright and fruity with orange and grapefruit with a little bit of pepperiness in there. Nice balancing sourness too. Highly drinkable too.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MrManning (1945) - London, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 12, 2010
Lemony nose with corriander and a bit of spice, pours a hazed light golden, with a bleached white creamy cap. Tastes sweet, of wheat malts and corriander, some lemon, little banana. Creamy mouthfeel with a slight bitterness in the finish. Good. On tap at Relish resraurant in London, ON.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 manuchampions (1163) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 24, 2010
Draught, at C’est What Spring Festival, May 29, 2010. Pours a murky off gold with average white head. Aroma has some lemon, coriander and a slight fruity note in there (?). Taste is bitter with floral hops but also has a slightly medicinal note that is not welcome. Viscous but not entirely pleasant. disappointing.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 DerWeg (1271) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 21, 2010
Nice hazy pale gold pour, creamy white head, clean sweet aromas of fresh yeast fruit spice candy and lemon, hint of sulfur. Taste sweet pale fruit with banana clove and lemon. Good med-full body and not sticky. Hops are a touch minty in the finish. Beats the heck out of a bazillion American wannabe Hefes.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HogTownHarry (4872) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JUN 21, 2010
Draught, at C’Est What Spring Festival, May 29, 2010. Cloudy very pale gold pour, average white head. Aroma of light coriander, lemon and some kind of tree fruit - peach? (7-). Taste is not all that awesome - lemon coughdrop with some admixed floral bitterness and a touch of acidity, but it seemed to lack any real character. Pretty thick-bodied, it almost felt like I was choking down a chilled lemon cold remedy, weakly carbonated, quick-finishing, leaving a bit of a tingle on the tongue - not that bad I guess, not a great hefe though.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 pootzboy (1310) - Hawgville, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 20, 2010
On tap:
Tapped a pale lightly clouded gold with a smallish cap that didn’t last. Big bubble artificial carbonation. Looks poor for the style standard.
Aroma was light biscuit some barely detectable fruit and mustiness.
Thin body, thin on the palate.
Biscuity, some twiggy hops no spice or banana to speak of, thin clean lightly dry finish.
A weak representation of the style.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 tomthompson89 (1761) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 19, 2010
Nice looking, hazy with some foam. nose is dough, flavor is decent for the style but not a lot of clove or banana. drinkable good stepping stone beer for newbies
