From Growler. Nose of confused pine and grapefruit, slight earthy. Wonderful creamy head that laced the entire glass. Color was much darker than average IPAs. It was thick without being syrupy or sticky. There was the same confused pine grapefruit frontend with a wonderful malty finish that gets more pronounced as it warms. An overall solid brew!! I cant wait to try others from here.

On tap at pgh Beerfest. Pours a clearish orange with a sticky white head. Aroma is on the herbal side. Grassy and earthy. Maybe a hint of citrus. Taste is slightly malty with a little bitter kick with a bit of a buttery finish. Solid beer but they have better.

Pours a clear golden orange with a sticky dissolving head that hugs my glass. The aroma is mild in intensity of earthy, piney, and tropical fruit like hops. There is also a nice soft malted grain undertone in aroma. In the flavor I picked up on a moderate level of bitterness that lingers, semi sweet malt taste, and a weak dryness in the finish. Overall this was a fine beverage.

Growler from the brewery. Pours a light brown-dark orange with a light tan head. Aroma of light fruits, apple skins, light citrus, caramel, earthy hops, faint hop oils. Flavor of earthy malt and hops, pale malts, light fruits, hop oils. A nice earthy hoppy beer, not quite your typical IPA but itís good. 7/4/8/4/15 [3.8/5]

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2013 look, I donít like ipa so forget my numbers, this stuff is freshly and terribly on style. could be a double ipa without the age. pine heavy aroma. thin creamy head. strong and beefy on the taste buds. leaves you with a long bitter finish. yes, a big fresh beer fer sure. surprisingly decent co2.

This one poured a dark orange color with a beige head. Aroma was grapefruity, other citrus and mild tropical notes. Flavor was similar, more on the classic grapefruit side, light caramel coming through. A fairly abbrasive standard for the style.
