From cask. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish. Roasted, mild acidic. Bitter and slight herbal. Hard roasted breadish dark malty. Lasting dry, acidic and roasted.

Backlog rating. Bottle at Caspar tasting at Chriso’s, London. It pours a rich golden color with a small white head. Aroma has notes of grass, pine, citrus juice, light pine cones, light toffee. Taste is medium sweet and medium grassy and hoppy. Malty toffee notes, biscuit, grass, citrus, grapefruit and resinous hops. Bitter quite dry finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, nice bitter

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, residual pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Light dry malts with a little unsweet toffee. Bitterish dried fruits and floral flavours. Dry finish. Standard stuff but clean.

Cask. Dark brown, hazy, small white head. Aroma is biscuity (jammy dodger in particular). Body is medium to light, low carbonation, a touch foamy. Taste is astringent, malty, drying, slightly floral. Not for me. Too drying.
