Aroma: Clean, fresh aroma of straw-like notes, vine tomatoes and grapefruit.
Appearance: Hazy golden body with a delicate white head. Lively carbonation. Slight lacing on the glass.
Taste: Light, fruity flavours. Not much in the way of malt character, but it’s very hoppy and easy drinking. Good bitterness.
Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice carbonation fizz.
Overall: A very hoppy golden ale - light moreish and refreshing. This is the second beer I’ve had from this brewery and they’ve both been pretty good. Will keep an eye out for their other beers.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 BeerCast_Rich (1687) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 17, 2012
[cask at the York Tap] Slightly hazy golden beer, impressive thick white head. Extremely vinous aroma - they must have packed the Nelson into this one. The bitterness rises into the finish and takes over. To be honest, it’s not very nice - needs a bit more finessing and maybe dial back on the hops a little. Not often I say that, but there’s a good session beer in there somewhere. At the moment, it’s overwhelmingly bitter [17052012]
