Maris Otter Pale Malt and Caramalt provide a rich malty base. Goldings hops contribute a soft rounded bitterness as a counterpoint to the citrus and tropical flavours of Motueka Hops.

A mid amber coloured beer beer with a weak white head. A strong, heady hop aroma on opening the bottle, oily, pine needles and freshly cut grass. This is soon followed by a maltiness of caramel, bread and and roasted nuts. Dry mouthfeel. A very bitter taste, all the hop elements come through from the aroma, oily and piney, grassy plus a touch of citrusy tropical fruit. There is a background maltiness of caramel and nut that underpins the hoppiness. The finish is long and hoppy.
