500ml bottle - Hazy brown body with an off white head. Aroma of toffee and caramel with citrus and nuts coming through. Similar flavours with a sweet smoothness in there, with a kick of dried fruit at the end. Nice balanced beer,
and much better than I expected.

Cask at The Last Drop Inn. Pours dark amber/copper with a creamy beige head. Light floral aroma. Med body. Flavor of moderately roast malt with light floral. It’s not very bitter in the finish.

500ml bottle. pours a dark clear brown. really didn’t like the aroma or taste. was just sour, acrid and watery. nasty strong alcoholic taster afterwards.

Bottle. Clear amber/brown with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted and hop. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, hop, medium sweet, bread and a little bitter.

Cask ale, shared, half pint at Rook and Gaskill. Creamy, white head that laces well. Very cloudy, dark orange coloured body. Aroma of ripe fruits and dough. Dried fruity hops joined by mid-sweet malts, marmalade impression. Long-lived bitter ending. Foamy in the mouth. Fine Brit bitter (York, 26.01.2013).

500ml bottle Rehills, Ncl. Hazy amber-red colour. Heavy toffee aroma and flavour, reasonably tangy on the back of the tongue with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Would probably enjoy it more with a touch less sweetness.

500 ml bottled served cool in a chalice. Hazy brown with an off white head. Citrus and nuts aroma, with a bit of farmyard.. Bitter marmalade flavour predominates, but there’s some nutty smoothness lurking. I didn’t want to quaff, rather I savoured: Might be a relatively low ABV strong ale, rather than a bitter? Fruity fun.

Bottle. Hazy brown with a thin foam. Aromas are toffee and weetabix with bready yeast. Lots of berries and raisins with nutty, floral notes. Some Christmas pudding, molasses and vanilla. Flavours are juicy malts with chocolate and weetabix. Lots of berries with a spicy, herbal finish. A nice bitter.
