3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle - Hazy brown body with an off white head. Aroma of toffee and caramel with citrus and nuts coming through. Similar flavours with a sweet smoothness in there, with a kick of dried fruit at the end. Nice balanced beer,
and much better than I expected.

Cask ale, shared, half pint at Rook and Gaskill. Creamy, white head that laces well. Very cloudy, dark orange coloured body. Aroma of ripe fruits and dough. Dried fruity hops joined by mid-sweet malts, marmalade impression. Long-lived bitter ending. Foamy in the mouth. Fine Brit bitter (York, 26.01.2013).

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle Rehills, Ncl. Hazy amber-red colour. Heavy toffee aroma and flavour, reasonably tangy on the back of the tongue with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Would probably enjoy it more with a touch less sweetness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottled served cool in a chalice. Hazy brown with an off white head. Citrus and nuts aroma, with a bit of farmyard.. Bitter marmalade flavour predominates, but thereís some nutty smoothness lurking. I didnít want to quaff, rather I savoured: Might be a relatively low ABV strong ale, rather than a bitter? Fruity fun.
