German pilsner malts balanced with Mt. Hood hops makes our take on the traditional pre-prohibition lager a craft classic.

This is a sweet and simple lager that does have more body and flavor then PBR or BUD but is eight bucks a sixer. Nothing offensive about it, would make an excellent camping beer.

Draft pour at the collective. Pours a clear pale golden color with barely any head. Grainy corn like aroma. Flavor is slightly hoppy, and decently refreshing. Pretty ordinary lager here. Nothing crazy, but better than others in the style for sure. Glad I tried it.

Can. Pours a mostly clear dark golden color with a moderate white head on there. Nose has a fair amount of corn to it and just a hint of citrus coming through. Taste is an odd mix of slightly sweet with hints of citrus sour. Interesting...

Pretty ordinary beer. comparable to other macro brews like Budweiser, Pabst, Miller etc. Not worth the high price but if you do buy it, it’s a good lawn mowing beer.

pours unclear very light golden with a small disappearing white cap, little retention, no lacing. faint bready and fruity maltiness - touch of berries and peaches, light welcoming toastiness, light astringent notes, herbal and grassy blandness, salty notes, also pepper. light to low carbonation - lacking; light body - slightly watery; dry, crisp, lightly astringent and bland woodsy-grassy-herbal finish. decent enough adjunct-free macro-like lager.

Can (12 oz) bought @ Winooski Beverage Warehouse.

Appearance: Clear golden with a medium diminishing white hea and little to no lacing.

Aroma: Grains, light caramel, fainted herbal notes and light lemony presence.

Taste: Mild. Mostly grains and herbal notes with light sweetness and subdued caramel.

Palate: Light body. Moderate to medium carbonation. Thin / watery mouthfeel. Bland finish. Very short herbal aftertaste.

Overall: Lack of body. The "german" features are well hidden as well as the "american lager" parts. Bland.

Keg at the taproom, 10/11/14. Clear pale golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pale malt, straw, cereal, light citrus tones. Taste comprises grain, hint of caramel, vanilla, grassy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterings. Ok lager, nice palate cleanser amidst more complex offerings.

Malty, for sure. Tastes like cereal lager all right, not a hint of any hops, just malt and cereal grain sweetness. Pale golden with lazy carbonation, small airy head, aroma of grain and cooked vegetables. Just average. I might even choose a PBR over this....

Low carbonation. An almost grapefruit presence emerges within the first few sips and quickly fades away. I say "grapefruit," but there is no hint of strong, west coast style hops. There is nothing about this beer that is reminiscent of an IPA. (That is a good thing, because IPAs are becoming too ubiquitous and banal.) I bought a six pack of the cans and had my third one after having another beer. I could taste subtle caramel malts with that third beer....something in the other beer brought it out. So this light beer is a little bit more complex than what one would think. This brew calls itself a lager. To me it tastes very much like a Kolsch. And the best American Kolsch I’ve had. The next one I’m going to drink right out of the can, and see if I can get anything else out of it. Good stuff.

Can from The Bier Stein in Eugene. Sweetish malty nose, grass. Clear golden straw color. Overly sweet initial with light hopping / a little biscuit and honey / smooth light finish. Thin-medium body. Solid, but unexciting, session stuff. Okay.
