COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big flavor, intense pine and citrus aroma. We keep the malt profile clean in this Imperial IPA to let the love lights shine on the fine Northwest hops.

Pale golden and lightly hazy with a decent white ringed head with greasy film. Nice piney, stalky and limey leafy and pale crispbread. Initial taste is sweet citrus, white grapefruit and pineapple with minty back scratch of bitterness creeping in. Decent pulse of carbonation and a decent clean cloy. Finishes a pinch of veg with a decent white grapefruit bitterness with a creamy linger of high line sherbet citrus. Very decent.

Bottle, Hopduvel, Ghent, Belgcomedown Tasting

Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, light caramel and some tropical fruitiness, piney - some grapefruit hoppyness. Body is average to full, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and tropical fruitiness with piney light grapefruit hoppyness, light alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel and fruitiness, lots of piney - some grapefruit hoppyness, light - some alcohol. Well hopped IIPA - not too sweet. Maybe bit too much alcohol considering the body.

65 cl bottle. No freshness info.
Pours clear golden-copper color with a medium sized head. Nice tropical fruits on the nose with resinous hops, noting over the top but nice floral appealing notes, mild pale malty notes with piney notes and some spruce. Lemon and some grapefruits on the flavor, some bitter hops and gooseberries, not that malty on the flavor, which is good, slick lingering bitter hoppy palate. I’m guessing this is not as fresh as I would have wanted it to be, but feels very crisp and hoppy anyway. Alcohol doesn’t come into play at all, I would probably have guessed this as an IPA. Excellent fruity DIPA.

Bomber. Piney hop nose, mixed with citrus, a bit stinky. Medium straw color, fine thin head. Concentrated pale malts in initial. Hops jump in to blend briefly. A strong resiny residue, quite spicy. Finshes sort of balanced. Medium body. 100 IBU... it’s all there, but doesn’t really knock you off your feet. Not so much texture or mouthfeel from all that. Nice, but not a great imperial IPA.
