22 picked up at the COOP, but most of the bottleshops are carrying this one now and even some grocery stores/bodegas. Pours a clear dark golden with an okay white head.. little to no lacing... Fruity hops remind me of melon and mango but are lighter than most PNW DIPA’s and balanced nicely by the maltiness... Bitterness is restrained and also balanced and leaning more toward the back.. Body is light given the 9%.. Bubble is spot-on... Very drinkable and perfectly balanced, I just prefer my DIPA’s a bit more aggressively hopped.

Butelka. Bardzo dobre równe piwo. Goryczka mocna, ale nie męcząca.
Trochę straciło po ociepleniu, ale i tak bardzo polecam.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
West Coast imperial IPA with irregular, creamy, yellowish white head, lacing a bit and retaining quite well; deep golden blonde colour with orangey hue (’old gold’) and good fizz. Aroma hoppy and fruity, but there is a kind of burnt rubber smell in it too; I assume the bottle I am tasting, has been standing in the store for too long, losing a lot of its hops bouquet . Apart from this initially somewhat disturbing, but fortunately completely receding smell, I get hints of grapefruit peel, caramel, hemp seed, gin, nettles and other weeds, pine needles, rainwater, bitter honey and bitter herbs (wormwood), marmelade, white pepper, sweat, roasted pine nuts, biscuit; when warming up, a delicious, fragile strawberry sweetness creeps up from the glass as well. Heck, the aroma seems to get better and better after giving it some time... Taste begins with a full, copious, exotic fruitiness, pineapple, some banana perhaps, mandarin, papaja, lightly sourish starfruit touch, minerally, only very faintly salty (luckily!); relatively soft carbo, smooth and supple, bit oily mouthfeel, spicy notes tingling on the tongue and paving the way for a hoppy finale, resinous, piney, subduedly citrussy, floral and bittering, but not as ’agressive’ as I had expected, still leaving room for ’juicy’ maltiness to come through; a faint hint of warming, gin-like alcohol is there, but subtle and very well hidden. Doubtlessly a well-accomplished example of its style, but this bottle is a bit too old and surely has lost a lot of its hoppy seductiveness through time. Still, very enjoyable, balanced, elegant and recommended if you are into big IPAs. I will not take the DMTS smell into account in this rating, as it manages to withdraw easily.

Cor dourada e bela espuma. Aroma frutado, notas de pêssego e lúpulo marcante. No paladar o lúpulo continua forte com um toque de maracujá. Retrogosto amargo e seco!

660ml bottle at home. Golden transparent colour, creamy white head. Interesting hop profile with light fruity (pear, faint sweet citrus) and grassy, flowery nose and a nicely crisp bitter sweet, piny hop character. Sufficient malty base to deliver a nice firm body and oily mouthfeel, but not overwhelming the hoppy tones. Lingering fruity and piny bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Great DIPA.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Pale golden and lightly hazy with a decent white ringed head with greasy film. Nice piney, stalky and limey leafy and pale crispbread. Initial taste is sweet citrus, white grapefruit and pineapple with minty back scratch of bitterness creeping in. Decent pulse of carbonation and a decent clean cloy. Finishes a pinch of veg with a decent white grapefruit bitterness with a creamy linger of high line sherbet citrus.

22 oz bottle. Bomber tasting at Timo A.
Clear golden colour with no head.
Tropical fruits, pine, moderate bitterness and sweet malt in the aroma.
Sweet fruits, pine, resin, bitterness and mild maltiness in the flavour. A bit unfresh. Too sweet to be really enjoyable.
