22 oz bomber imported straight from Eugene Market of Choice. Moderate head with considerable lacing. Solid semi-sweet taste with a strong but not overpowering hop punch on the back. Well balanced. Beautiful golden color. Not a world class DIPA, but a great effort and @ $4.99 a bottle I would revisit without hesitation.

On tap at the brewpub. Orange pour with a dense off white head. Aroma is pine, resin, citrus, grapefruit peel. Some malitness hiding in there. Flavor is bitter, sharp, citrus pith and pine needles. Good hop profile but a little unbalanced.

Bomber. Wow! Was not expecting this good of a DIPA to come from such a new player in the Eugene brew game. Watch your back Ninkasi.

Pours hazy light amber with a 3 finger frothy off-white head. Aroma is like a floral barley wine. Med body. Flavor is like a floral barley wine with some bittering resin. Very hoppy - but barely harsh. 100+ IBU. Yea!

Bright orange with a permanent white foam. This definitely gives Pliny-the-Elder a good run for his money. The nose is thick and heady. Full of orange and pine zinginess while in the mouth thick malt sweetness and green pine notes vie for your attention. A burst of hot acetone mellows down into a silky, toasty and perfectly balance finish.

A: The beer pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of white head. S: Grassy hops with a bit of pine and citrus peel. Lightly floral with just tons of bready malt and sweet toffee and caramel. Maybe a touch of sweet peaches. T: Caramel and toffee flavors with a light floral and piney hop flavor. Moderate bitterness with a hint of alcohol and citrus peels. More sweetness than anything else. M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation. O: Another failed, sweet, malty IPA.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2011 22 oz. bottle, pours orangey amber with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit, caramel and citrus hops. Flavour of fresh resinous hops, loads of tropical fruits (mango, peach), some grapefruit, balanced beautifully by caramel malts. Really well-made.

Shipped from OR mid-summer, so this rating will be compromised. I will give it the benefit of the doubt, nonetheless. Pours a pale, hazy orange cream colour with a soapy off-white head that fades to a thin film, leaving spotty lacing. The nose is as malty as it is hoppy. The aroma brings impressions of chewy caramel, citrus flesh, subdued resin, and some heat as it warms. Flowery hops, citrus flesh again, orange creamsickle, sherry, some resin and very mild pine. Silky mouthfeel, fine carbonation that is on the softer side. Nice balance for a west-coast ipa, where they usually tend toward over-attenuated hop bombs with no body. Long palate duration with emphasis on the citrus. Stellar.

Bottle, 8.5%. Pours copper-orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma is heavy with piney, resinous hops, a touch of grapefruit, and some underlying sweetness. Flavor is semi-sweet grapefruit and pine with a short, bitter finish. Full bodied and thick.
