Big flavor, intense pine and citrus aroma. We keep the malt profile clean in this Imperial IPA to let the love lights shine on the fine Northwest hops.

Iím usually not a huge IPA guy, but this one is VERY tasty! It has a great piney, citrusy aroma and a floral, citrus, hoppy flavor. Not overly bitter or bitey.

On tap. Transparent gold with dense, frothy cap. Aroma of tropical fruit and caramel with grapefruit. Taste is much the same with more tropical forward taste. Medium carbonation.

$3.99 a 22oz? Only in Oregon can you find a dank, well made double ipa for that price. Lots of pine and deep fruit for aroma. Alpha Centauri has a gorgeous medium malty body with a huge hop finish. Fantastic!

From bottle. Dark golden orange color. Great citrus and grapefruit hop aroma. Well hopped, but very balanced with a sweet citrus caramel and tart grapefruit flavor. Finishes with an intense hop kick and slight warming.

Bottle - pours out cloudy copper with pretty thick white head. Nose of definite hop and citrus. Taste is quite strong hop and citrus as well. Has a bitter dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Bridgetown Beer House, PDX, 25/05/13. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Nose carries a good pine bite, hops, bitter grapefruit, orange pith. Taste comprises caramel malt, orange pith, grass, pine, bitter grapefruit, hops. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, dry hoppy finish. Decent.

This DIPA is one of the best beers I have had in years. The well balanced yet over the top ibus make me want to drink this beer over and over again. Tons of hop flavors with a subtle alcohol presence slightly cloudy appearance

Strong hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thin, fast-dying white head. Aroma of tons of bright hops, citrus, grapefruit, pine, resin and bunches more hops - plus some malt and alcohol along with a bunch of sweetness. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong hop notes with grapefruit, honey and pine with a lot of alcohol and malt as well - nice and fruity. Aftertaste shows a lot of bitterness, naturally, with a lot of alcohol, pine, grapefruit and some good apricot and pear flavours. Overall, a very nice imperial ipa with tons of hop notes and even more malt and alcohol - all with great complexity. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased a few minutes ago at Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon for US$5.50 sampled in my hotel room here in Portland on 12-April-2013.

In short: A clean, sugary sweet, boozy and extremely hoppy pale IPA. Very harsh. Slightly below average for the style.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed relatively fresh one month after purchase, bottle forwared to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Medium cloudy amber-orange body topped by a medium white head with medium retention.
In long: Nose is massively hoppy with lots of pine-tree, pine needles, grapefruits. Taste has a lots of sweetness upfront, grainy toasted cereals, residual sugars, old sugary honey, not much caramel. This type of crystal-like sugary (refined white sugar) malt bill just is not my thing. Alcohol is a bit apparent. The beer is saved by its massive hopping because Iím a hophead. Not a very good Overall very rough. Not sure where the Alpha Centauri Binary name comes from, I donít know much about this science and high-tech stuff, until recently I thought the iPad was some sort of feminine hygiene product.
