A true NW IPA, with an orange-copper hue and enough malt to back it up.

Bottle straight from Portland. Big aromas & flavors of citrusy, bitter, oily hops. Malt balance is there, but the hops really shine. Very fresh & bright tasting. Quite enjoyable.

Can at home, 09/06/13, from Newport Ave Market, Bend. Clear golden with a moderate frothy white head. Nose is caramel malt, hops, touch of soap, juicy tropical notes. Taste comprises bitter grapefruit, hops, over ripened mango, light pine bite, caramel malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. Solid enough IPA.

Can poured a hazy gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of bread, grapefruit and lemon zest. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of bread, grapefruit and lemon zest with a smooth dry moderatly bitter lingering citrus finish.

22oz bottle from Roths Sunnyslope Market in S.Salem. $3.99 pours a slightly hazy burnt orange with a rough and tumble bubbly off white head. Very healthy hop aromas to this one, citricfruity an juicy hop i am assuming this is fresh! Taste is the same as the aroma but with a strong burnt toffee backing very good. Good palate does not let the beer get boring. Overall an excellent PNW IPA

Can from 16 Tons Taphouse, Eugene. Pours a bright medium golden orange/copper, moderate amount of head. Aroma is sweet, grapefruit, pineapple. Body is lighter, finish moderately hoppy, slight bitterness and a surprisingly long-lasting finish. Not the best local IPA, but still pretty damn tasty.

Thanks to the Boise crew. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A nice citrus and caramel nose. The flavor is very smooth: caramel, oranges, light lemons, earthy. Very drinkable.

Gold, clear, off-white head. Aroma of orange-citrus hops, a little pine, some caramel sweetness. Good malt backbone with some caramel and toast, a little biscuit, orange-citrus hop flavor. Finishes with some lingering resiny bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 22oz Bomber. Pours a light fuzzy golden with a real nice head. Lacked the intense aroma I expected from this beer but has a good hop profile and a certain dryness to it. Had floaty ’stuff’ at the end of the pour that wasn’t eye pleasing but harmless. Great label! I would probably buy it again but be sure to get it on tap when in Springfield!

Bottle pours an orange brew with a white head. Scent is very hoppy with citrus and pine blending. Taste is pine, caramel and citrus. Everything I want in an IPA.

Orange pour, white head. Citrus and resin hops dominate with a light malt backnote. This one packs a punch. Pretty dang nice.

The canned version. Another strong IPA offering from Oregon. Restrained with a load of hops to work through. Nice and vibrant.
