Bottle straight from Portland. Big aromas & flavors of citrusy, bitter, oily hops. Malt balance is there, but the hops really shine. Very fresh & bright tasting. Quite enjoyable.

Poured from bottle. Phenomenal citrusy, almost tropical, aroma. The first 6 oz. were lively, hoppy, and tasty. The last 16 oz. were just cloyingly sticky and sweet for my palate. The finish was syrupy and a little long for my taste.

Pours a clear golden brown from the bomber with fluffy off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of resinous piney and floral hops with a bunch of caramel malts behind it. Taste follows, a hint of oxidation, solid clean bitterness, good balance. A decent old school west coast IPA.

Poured from 12 oz can, almost clear light gold, with a medium white head, nice lacing. Nose is complex, lot going on, fruit, malt, pine, somewhat balanced. Taste is bitter, with just a slight sweetness. Medium bodied, a bit oily texture, and a nice bitter finish.

Where and how: can 355 ml @ Vermont
Aroma sweet caramel malts up front, crystal malt? Soft hop notes behind. Soft green, pleasant hops. Not as hop forward as you might imagine from IPA.
Appearance :
Top: medium plus white top, average lace on glass, partial rings.
Base: hazy, amber gold
Palate : medium full bodied, delicate carbonation, long finish.
Taste: woody, green, pungent character. Mellow sweetness as base. Very pleasant. Some alcoholic roughness about. .
Other notes interesting creation

Aromas of grapefruit, pine and hay. Cloudy copper with small white head. Assertive bitterness, that is surprisingly smooth and pleasant, is married well with malty backbone and alcohol. Lingering sweet bitternes on the tongue. Overall great ipa. ??
