Bottle straight from Portland. Big aromas & flavors of citrusy, bitter, oily hops. Malt balance is there, but the hops really shine. Very fresh & bright tasting. Quite enjoyable.

Can, pours golden with a white head. Pine, resin, citrus, caramel, biscuit, light tropical fruits. Light-medium sweet, high bitterness, oily to creamy texture, medium body, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Well executed (hop) oily IPA.

A friend brought over this 6-pack yesterday (thanks Brad!). There are two left. Clear amber pour, average head. Pine, citrus and caramel. Pretty much classic NW nose, actually. Moderately sweet, moderately bitter resinous finish. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Overall: Last night we also had a (4 week old) Pliny. To tell you the truth, I couldn’t tell much difference between them. That’s either a testament to how much the IPA game has been elevated, or to how quickly hoppy beers fall off. It’s probably a combo of the two, but at any rate this is a beer that I found to be a pleasant surprise. Nothing revolutionary, but after finishing one can I was happy to have another.

From the bottle into a glass. The pour is a clear pale yellow with a slightly lively carbonation. The a tangerine and is very pleasant.

Can in Salisbury. Pours gold with a frothy, yellowish off-white head. The nose holds some rindy citrus, pale bread, tangerine. Medium sweet acor with crackery pale malts, some grain, grass, pine, ripe orange. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Finishes lightly resinous with some further grassy and piney bitterness, alcohol, slight pithy grapefruit. Lightly aggressive grass in the aftertaste. Not bad.

12 oz can. No BBE information, (stamp says 4 08 19)
Clear orange beer with frothy white head. Aroma has grapefruit, resin, menthol, mango and caramel. Flavor is mostly just grapefruity, mentholy and resinous hops. Palate is thick and sticky with medium carbonation. Finish has medium bitterness. Aftertaste is harsh, grapefruity, mentholy, resinous and bitter caramelly. You can tell it’s not fresh anymore.

Kräftig goldenes, minimal trübes Bier mit einer ordentlichen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr grasig hopfig, Heu, Citrus. Geschmack sehr hopfig, grasig bitter, Citrusfrüchte, sehr gut!

Poured from a 22. Aroma is a bit grassy but not overwhelming. Flavor is slightly bitter to start and then evens out to a light hay/grassy and then sweet like melon. Clean, easy beer drinking beer!

Can. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a smallish off-white head on there. Nose is somewhat light, but has some pleasant citrusy floral notes coming through. Taste is also pretty light, though is has a bit of grassy bitterness to it. Pretty drinkable.
