This seasonal IPA features 4 different hops with multiple flavors and aromas complimented with the addition of grapefruit peel. It creates a bouquet of citrus, peach and tropical fruits with enough Munich malt to produce a classic burnt orange color.

Pour is amber orange, a little darker than expected; white head. Nose is dominated by citrus flavors and bitter peel. Taste is bitter grapefruit, balanced with biscuit and caramel malt. Very dry bitter finish. Thin in body for this ABV. A maltier version of the Sculpin, but less successful. Still enjoyable.

From the 650 ml. bottle. The pour is is an obvious orange color with a modest short-lasting head. The aroma has a decent citrus quality to it and a touch of floral and herbal notes. Medium to full body. The taste has the same citrus and maybe fruity note with a slightly lingering bitterness.

Bottle. It’s a hazy orange beer with a creamy white head. The aroma is citrus and orange with floral hoppy notes. Lots of biscuit malty notes that n the flavor mixed with citrus, grapefruit and berries. Sharp bitterness in the finish.

A disappointment to be honest, with a much smaller than hopped hop aroma, even though the mix of lemony modern hops and herbal notes works well. Bit thin in appeal, not much make complexity or fermentation aromas. A shame because it wasn’t cheap either and with the given readings I was craving for a high hitter. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: clear golden blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: fruity hoppy domination, mango and peach domination. Very hoppy presence. Sweet caramel finish. Taste: medium body with high exotic fruits notes as peach, mango and pineapple. Good attenuation and wet bitterness. Caramel and small alcohol hit. Aftertaste: fruity with pineapple finish. Wet bitterness.

Bottle from Bradley’s Cork [020516]
Orange, bubbly white head, hazy
Aroma of soft sweet malts, hint of caramel, no hops, soft caramelised orange
Taste of sweet pale malts, fairly malty, some zest, some bitter orange, alcohol noticeable, some very bitter but not fruity hops, nope
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, very bitter, lots of sweet malt. Finish is dry, long bitter linger, quite harsh, some alcohol
Overall - Old bottle, just harsh hop bitterness, no fruits, alcohol, sweet malts. It’s too old - 1/2 bottle thrown out
