Very strong, great taste and flavor. This one will sneak up on you if you drink it too fast. Perfect for the holidays. I don’t think there is a better Winter Seasonal beer out there.

Pouco carbonatada.

From a 33cl, Pours a hazy chestnut brown body with a very thin beige head that quickly disappeared. Interesting aroma, with nice pine, herbal and caramel hops. Flavors are strong, and very winter like, brown bread, cake, herbs, caramels, roasted malts, and sweet hops. Some light sweetness and bitterness. Slightly creamy body in texture, and very herbal. Very winter and yet I am enjoying it in July.

Bottle. Pours looking very nice: A dark, coppery auburn amber with a decent, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is somewhat like a barley wine. A strong caramel, some pith and resin, some red fruitiness. Taste is semi-sweet, plenty of caramel, pencil shavings, pith, somewhat like an English strong. British orange preservatives - the unsweetened kind. Surprisingly light, low carbonation.

355ml bottle. Clear dark amber colour with small to average, dense, fluffy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweaty, resinous hoppy aroma is supported by malty toffee and caramel notes. Taste is dry hoppy, slightly piney and resinous, a touch of candied orange zest, nuttily malty basis, some caramel and toffee; not without watery stages. Kind of diluted Barley Wine; or, to contribute another facet to a well-kept legend, this is how the passage-surviving, stronger brewed and hopped beers would have tasted like, if the colonialists actually had them watered down as originally intended.
