Draught at Bailey’s Taproom, Portland. Fresh open barn door aroma. Reddish-brown color, near flat. Heavy hop hit initial; bitterness intensifies in mid palate and then balances out nicely; finish lengthens the bitterness. Thin-medium body, good carb tingle. This one is all about the hops. Belching hops, in fact.

Much better than the Natty Red, at least it was at this sitting. Came in the 9 beer sample flight.

Another good red, copper colored body, with a nice hope nose like pine, however need a maltier body for better balance.

On tap at the brewery over a month ago. Pours cola brown with a beige head. Smells of brown sugar, toasted malts and chocolate. Smooth, creamy palate. Chocolate and citrus in the taste.

Reddish amber in color with a thin head. Nice roasty malt aroma light hops. Light nut flavor with the malt the hops where well balanced with this brew.

Sampled at Art in the Vineyard in Eugene for July 4th weekend. Pours deep deep cloudy red and was primary reason I picked it over the others. A pretty nice drink. Really smooth. Crispness to it. A nicely made brew, your typical amber brew from small west coast breweries.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a dark red. Caramel flavoring with just a little bit of hoppiness. I was a bit disapointed, but overall not bad.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours out a lot darker than expected, with a moderate bisque head. Aroma is full of caramel with a light earthy hoppiness to it. Flavor is much the same, but it skews more towards the malt by far. An okay offering, I’d probably drink it again especially at the 2.50 per pint monday prices.
