Dark reddish brown colour with a tiny light tan head. Vanilla, vanillin sugar and roasted malt in the aroma. Roasted malt, mild sourness, mild hops, vanilla and vanillin sugar in the flavour. Thin.

Draught. Pours a very dark brown color with a fairly small head on there. Nose is roasty with lots of vanilla coming off this one. Taste is a bit sweet with a fair amount of roasting and heavy amounts of vanilla, but drinks extremely smooth. Not bad at all.

Keg at the brewpub in Eugene, 10/11/14. Dark mahogany brown with a decent tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is light roast, vanilla, chocolate, spice, dark fruit notes. Taste comprises sweet licks, vanilla, chocolate, candied fruit peel, toffee, brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok porter.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark with tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, sweet chocolate and coffee. Flavor is light body, similar as Aroma but lots of vanilla. Really notable vanilla. Light porter body.

Bottle at home bought from Cotteridge Wines. Poured a deep chestnut brown with a red tinge, topped with a thin tan head. Immediate aroma of vanilla pods, taste of vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, sweet finish. Very nice indeed!

Pours a black beer with a medium beige fine head. Smells vanilla, chocolate, yeasty. The vanilla also gives an oaky touch. Tastes sweet and bitter. Leaves a gentle palate where the vanilla dominates. The taste is non alcoholic and has a full palate. Carbonation is low. Great balanced beer!

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2015 Bottle from Elmanana. Many thanks! Shared @ RBBWG 2015. Dark brown, no head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts and some sourness. Thin body, easy drinkable. Very light notes of vanilla. Ok.

Thanks to ElManana +1! 655 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG IV. Red amber hued dark brownish, little bubbles. Smell is soy sauce, coffee, light vanilla, sugar. Taste is herbal cheap coffee, chocolate powder, taste very heavily of additives, grainy, brown sugar,… Rather thin. Too much cheap / artificial additive flavours for me to really enjoy.
