15cl taster @ de 24uurs van Maastricht. Very dark brown ale, beige foamy head that quickly disappears. Nicely roasted malty flavors like coffee and chocolate, big on vanilla, watery body. Finish is short. Medium carbonation, light body (sadly).

Poured from a bomber into a chalice today. A: Milk chocolate, coffee, and some woodiness. It’s very mild. A: 1/2 finger cream-colored head that fades to a ring and spots of foam. Black body with lots of red in the glass. T: Honestly, there is no flavor here. There might be a hint of milk chocolate but it’s just a fleeting wisp of flavor. P: Too thin even for a porter. O: It’s drinkable, but so is tap water.

Good. Non-sweet. Vanilla notes present. Slight bitterness at the backend. Flavorful for the ABV.

650ml bottle. Murky dark brown colour with average thick, frothy to creamy, off-white head. Roasty dark malty aroma with hints of vanilla, marshmallow, a not really smoky, somehow diffuse roasty-smoky touch. Thin body with a average carbonation. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, artificial vanilla and thin. Aftertaste is vanilla and light roasted malts. Just to thin... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 ounce bottle purchased at Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa. The aroma is a weird, fruity, estery floral one. Almost like there is some Northern Brewer or something. A bit strange. Quite transparent dark mahogany body with a large, creamy, frothy, cream-colored head. Starts with a sweet, sugary vanilla flavor, before this becomes a bit harsh, and astringent in the middle. Lots of metallic flavors, followed by burnt ashiness later on. This is thin, and lacking body. No sense of balance or subtlety. Just not my thing.

Finisz cierpki, nieco palony. Tragedii nie ma, ale dobrze wcale...

Dark brown colour with nice beige head. Aroma of dark malts and some dried fruits swetness. Taste is much better. There are roasted malts, vanilla, some ash and dried fruits. Low carbonation and gentle sour finish.

Aroma: roasted dark malts and nothing more. Appearance: brown color, thin white head. Taste: low bitterness, vanilla, roasted malts, semi-sweet, chocolate. Palate: low body and medium carbonation, vanilla finish. Overall: Hard to say, intensive vanilla notes and a weak basis.
