A good vanilla porter, but a little thin in taste. Pours a deep brown-black with a tan head. Smells of vanilla, coffee, cinnamon and oak. Taste starts off slow, again, a bit thin, but the vanilla and oak opens up in the finish. Had in the bottle.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a nice crema head. Nose - dark chocolate and burnt toffee. Taste - the burnt toffee leads in and the chocolate is very dry or bittersweet as the description on the bottle suggests. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy but very dry texture and a long dry finish. Overall - I’m struggling to get much vanilla.

Bottle. Dark brown color with nice head. Aroma not so strong, a bit of coffee and roastiness. However in taste there is definitely a lot of vanilla, chocolate and roast. In general very good beer with pleasant vanilla note.

650ml bottle. Pours quite black, with a small, off-white head. Aroma is vanilla, light roast. Taste is a lot of vanilla, fairly roasted, light chocolate. A bit thin, not very sweet. Needs some food to go with at these ABVs.

Bottle. Aroma of toasted malts, chocolate and of course vanilla (extract, different from barrel). In taste mix of vanilla and chocolate. Medium body, smooth in the palate, softly carbonated. Medium bitter and dry finish. Really tasty porter.
