Bottle at home bought from Cotteridge Wines. Poured a deep chestnut brown with a red tinge, topped with a thin tan head. Immediate aroma of vanilla pods, taste of vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, sweet finish. Very nice indeed!

Pours a black beer with a medium beige fine head. Smells vanilla, chocolate, yeasty. The vanilla also gives an oaky touch. Tastes sweet and bitter. Leaves a gentle palate where the vanilla dominates. The taste is non alcoholic and has a full palate. Carbonation is low. Great balanced beer!

Bottle from Elmanana. Many thanks! Shared @ RBBWG 2015. Dark brown, no head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts and some sourness. Thin body, easy drinkable. Very light notes of vanilla. Ok.

Thanks to ElManana +1! 655 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG IV. Red amber hued dark brownish, little bubbles. Smell is soy sauce, coffee, light vanilla, sugar. Taste is herbal cheap coffee, chocolate powder, taste very heavily of additives, grainy, brown sugar,… Rather thin. Too much cheap / artificial additive flavours for me to really enjoy.

Bottle at RBBWG. Pours dark brown with no head. Vanilla, soja, quite hoppy, some sour, some citrus.

22oz bottle, Hopduvel 02/2015, no bb detectable. Natural enough vanilla bean aromas almost merge with Cécémel and coffee bean roast. Taste merges prominent vanilla-flavoured milk coffee with dank exotic hops, postmodern cold aluminium, some bean sourness and tang. Bitnwatery maybe, hence easy quaffer. Crowd pleasing adult candy with manageable infusion pyrotechnics and good hoppage.

(Tap) Draft. Nice but slightly more bitter than it should be. Should be more smooth. Okay I guess.

Beetje cola kleur met een volle fijne lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt vanille, crème, koffie. Beetje chocolade. Fijne zacht zoete geur. Smaakt zoetig, bitter, koffie, vanille.

Great beer, very smooth for a Porter Ale. Good with about everything. Can even use it as a vanilla float. Great aroma and appearance with a smooth taste. Overall a very good Porter.
