Great beer, very smooth for a Porter Ale. Good with about everything. Can even use it as a vanilla float. Great aroma and appearance with a smooth taste. Overall a very good Porter.

Pretty much the best local beer I’ve had in Eugene. I can’t think of a more refreshing dark beer in my area. The aroma is very mild, hints of coffee, roasted charcoal and sugar. Very smooth and thin moutfeel that glides like silk. The flavor is what sold me. The vanilla is up front and honest, it isn’t a background flavor but something up front and pleasant. I recommend this one.

One of the best flavors of beer I have had so far. Vanilla and Porter, mmmm, a perfect pair, smooth and bitter at the same time.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a black beer with a medium beige fine head.
Smells vanilla, chocolate, yeasty. The vanilla also gives an oaky touch.
Tastes sweet and bitter.
Leaves a gentle palate where the vanilla dominates.
The taste is non alcoholic and has a full palate.
Carbonation is low.
Great balanced beer!

This is a darkish beer with a light tan head. It has a light roast, malt aroma with a nice vanilla. You can really taste the vanilla and malt flavor along with a light caramel. It is really a nice pairing, slightly sweet, vanilla and light bitter flavor.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2014 On draft at Sesame restaurant in Ashland, Oregon. Came in the glass a near black with a tan head. Nose of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Medium body and a smooth creamy mouth feel. Flavor shows lots of the vanilla, along with a good does of hops to balance the chocolate. Finishes bitter. Darn good beer.
This was so good I picked up a couple bottles at Market of Choice and sent one to Strykzone. We shared it on Facebook Chat. This was warmer than the draft pour. It brought out more citrus and even better balance. Really nice.
