3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sample. Poured hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate sour citrus hop and earthy aroma. Medium body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid drinkable brew that exceeded my expectations.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at HopCat on December 29, 2010. Served in an imperial pint glass.
Pours a golden color with a tad bit of a reddish hue. Fairly-solid white head that falls fairly quickly without too much lacing as it goes down the glass. Nose brings some mild citrus and floral hops and a tad bit of bready malt. The taste runs along the same lines, but doesn’t really offer up what the nose promised. All those characteristics are quite muted. Nothing terribly wrong with this, just more of an average pale ale. Light to medium body with good carbonation and a mild bitterness. Drinks well enough, but I wasn’t clamoring for more.

On tap at the Hopcat. Clear amber with a thin off-white head and splotchy lacing. Aroma of mild citrus and sweet malt. Sticky bodied brew taste of citrus, sweet malt and a touch of earthy hops. Finishes up moderately bitter. Not bad.
