Part of a sampler I had... ultimately got a pint of this stuff. Appearance: Ruby red with a nice head and a lot of lacing. Smell: Not nearly as fruity as the Double Chin I had -- this is more earthy with pine and some citrus. Taste: Like the smell with a solid bitterness on the finish. The bitter bite on this is a bit more than some other standard IPAs. Tasty stuff, and at only 5.7%, easy to session. Enjoyable, but not a mind blower.

On tap at HopCat. Clear amber with a thin white crown. Aroma is floral with pale malts, some caramel and a bit of woodsiness as well. Taste is a touch dank and floral with middle-of-the-road malts, a hint of sulfur and a moderate bitter finish.

Draught at the HopCat, Grand Rapids, MI.
Clear amber colour with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity resiny aroma with moderate hoppiness, moderate bitterness and sweet malt. Strong bitter flavour. Resin and grapefruit. Very strong dark bitterness.

Draft. Poured a clear dark copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus and earthy aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where surpassed.

Medium orange body, moderate sized off white head, soapy lacing. Earthy, resinous hops, moderate amount of malt shines through. Medium to full bodied, gentle carbonation, a tad sweet, lingering finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Served in a nonet. Dark amber; clear; small but durable head leaves excellent lacing. Musky/earthy/bubblegum aromas from the hops are dominant. The taste is similar, but bitter rather than sweet. Medium-full body with medium-low carbonation; a bit syrupy. O: Disappointing.

Draft to taster at HopCat. Looks Solid; a transparent orange with sticky off-white lacing. Smells solid; bitter and piney with a semi-sweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A bit sweet and syrupy, but solid nonetheless.

Nice golden color. Poured into pint glass. Citrus and pine notes. Hoppy finish but not too crazy ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
