3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20draft at brewpub. aroma is clove and light grainy note, yeast phenols secondary to outright lemon. appearance is ultra hazy, lasting head and light legs. flavor is late grainy washout, pleasant. spicy up front, orange freshness recoils. drier end than i prefer for style, lack of juicer fruit.

cloudy orange with one finger head. banana and clove, but not nearly as much as a german hefe. pretty decent.

Tap at Hop Cat. This pours an orange color but with grapefruit. It is not filtered. A lively orange nosewith clove. It does not really look like a hefe but does tastes like one. It is very sweet with bubblegum. There is some orange peel, cloves and banana. This is not bad at all.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. I might have enjoyed this more knowing it was more of a weizen and not being told that it was a hefe. It did not hit the spot as a hefe. Malty and a bit bitter, with a soapy head. Decent drinkability.

On tap at The Hopcat. Murky banana yellow with a medium white corwn. Aroma of banana, clove and bready yeast. Taste of banana, yeast, clove and a hint of citrus. Semi dry with a spicy finish.

Draft sample at MBGSF 2011. Poured hazy orange color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate banana, clove and citrus aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good refreshing brew.
