Sample at ÖÖWF 2012. Sweet and malty smell and taste with some caramel. Fairly mild but full body and very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Taste and aroma with coffee, caramel, chocolate, malt and hops. Oily palate and bitter after taste.

Bottle. Dark rusty ale. Decent tan head which fades quite quickly. Nose is caramel with a slight sherbert malt. The taste is heavy with the maltiness, but some nice toasty sweetness and caramel notes. Finish is sweet and rich.

Bottle from Mr Lawrence Wine Merchants, Brockley. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Toffee, malts, berries, baked apple and pear aromas. Chocolate, caramel, raisins and cloves in the taste. Quite smooth and easy drinking. Gentle bitterness on the palate. Not bad.

Bottle pint: Dark ruby red coloured brew with an an fruity taste and a bitter finish. And the label is kind of odd.

A Sim rate (bottle at Chris O’s Shindig): Smell and flavour of apple - green apple according to Shane. Slightly bitter finish.

Ligt brown with a reddish note. Small head.Nice caramel aroma. Sweet caramel flavours with grapefruit hoppiness, yieldng a dry finish. Full-bodied and soft. A well-above average strong ale.

Amber coloured and clear. Has a white head, medium duration. Sweet aroma, spicy notes too, perhaps caramel. Flavor starts moderate sweet, light acidic, light bitter finish. Creamy texture.

Fruitya roma of caramel, hops and cocoa powder.
