Great for an open fire on a cold winters night. Not overly hopped and is better served slightly warm. A great ale! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,5l bottle. Pours amber with small diminishing head. Caramel malts with some dark fruits... even notes of roasted malts. Definitely a bitter rather than IPA like it says on the etiquette. Rather good bitter though.

Bottle at home. Amber in colour with a thin head. Slight aroma of peppery hop. Sweet start, then some bitterness. Sweet malt, some fruit and a dry finish. The hops are definitely there, but this is an underpowered beer.

Cask gravity at the Ealing beer festival 2016, brown with a fast-settling head, woody nose, toffee malt and earthy bitterness but a bit estery.

Bottle from Cornelius. Clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of marmalade, dusty malts and autumn leaves. Peppery, dry finish. Flavour of tangy pear, lemon and grass. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. A simple, hoppy Bitter.

Bottle, 500 ml. Pours clear orange/amber with some lively white head and a ton of bubbles. Nose is mostly wholemeal bread small fruity hints, maybe orange. Taste is fairly sweet with more caramel and bread, with hints of citrus. Little bit of hoppy bitterness on the back end prevents the sweetness from being overpowering. Aftertaste is cereal and not too cloying. Less carb than expected on the palate, which with the good medium body and oily texture makes for easy drinking. Definitely not the IPA it advertises itself as but fine drinking nonetheless.
