This has been viciously hopped then barrel aged for aboout 30 days. Expect BIG hops and dark malt characters of chocolate and hints of coffee. The name comes from the Erinyes, the ancient Greek Goddesses of Revenge.

(Bottle) Black with huge beige head. Lovely aroma mixing chocolate and hop pine. Full bodied with excellent mouthfilling velvety carbonation. Dark chocolate and dark roast malt flavours from start to finish with plenty of bitterness steadily building. Overall an excellent beer.

I have a great advantage in that I live close to this brewery, that enables me to get 19L keg fills. This is good as I love this beer, it is just so deep in flavour and after taste. A beer that just keeps on giving!

Bottle from Olinda Cellars. Exceptional, very tasty. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, liquorice. Taste is sweet and bitter, with very long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Black, with a frothy head.

330ml bottle. There is certainly a lot of darkness in the colour with this beer pouring a midnight black and carrying a deep head of an foam that hovers and takes a while to settle. Hops, malt and chocolate are intermingled in the aroma while the flavour is much the same. One of the better black IPA’s I have had.

Pours black with a large, light tan head. Nose shows heavy coffee, along with chocolate, vanilla and the faintest hint of piny hops. Not very BIPA-like but pretty enticing! Very similar flavours, with the addition of an aggressive, piny bitterness in the finish. Nice creamy carbonation. Not particularly hoppy but good nonetheless.

Bottle, 9C. Black with a large beige head. Aroma of nectarines, kumquats, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee. Lightish bodied, despite large and growing head carbonation is restrained. Plenty of citrus and some stone fruit, caramel, chocolate. Finish is snappily dry and moderately bitter with lingering citrus notes.

Quite black. No light penetrating this. Half finger of dark mocha colored head. Some think lacing. Nose is lots of chocolate with caramel and vanilla. Big malt body. Taste is chocolate, coffee, pine and citrus. Full bodied chocolate feel and a nice dry oak finish. Not really a black IPA but a big hoppy stout. Good beer either way. Becoming a really solid producer here.
