COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Coffee and Beer are the two vices of any normal brewer. But why be normal? We’ve melded the two into one for the first release in our new Dark Odyssey series. We chose a huge robust coffee blend from Hyper-Hyper Coffee and added it twice during the brewing process to create this blacker-than-black coffee infused stout. Hot Dang!

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours an opaque dark brown with only a vague tint of orange, oddly fizzy and dissipating brown head. Thick, thick almost tarry coffee aroma. Medium body, heavy - almost vulgar - carbonation, the kids that keeps on bubbling all the way down your throat. Heavy, charry coffee accents - kinda like burned coffee. A little vanilla before a very malt bitter finish. A really tough beer to drink. 301112

330ml bottle. Pours extremely black and thick looking with a deep latte coloured head of foam. Lots of cold black coffee aromas which are pleasant. Good bittered with some dark chocate and coffee in the flavour. Even the foam tastes good.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2012 Bottle thanks to Owen. Like Davros, got a volcanic opening. Pours like cola with a whopping big head. Nose is rich, roasted coffee beans and some light vanilla with a touch of chocolate. Fairly balanced in the aroma, although you can smell the back end of some bitterness there which is sure to come out in the taste. Bitter sweet espresso... that pretty much sums up the taste. If you’re a coffee lover then this is for you. A touch over carbonated which I’ve come to expect from HopDog unfortunately. Good stuff besides that
