pours a deep red with plenty of malt and hops in the aroma.the flavour opens up with caramel, toffee malt’s that work brilliantly with the citrusy hops to deliver a well balanced bitterness that doesn’t seem to end while never overpowering. one word....RedHopulous.

Pours dark brown with a large, lasting head.
Nose shows lots of tropical fruit and rich malt. Very syrupy smelling, incredibly tempting.
Similar flavours, with lots of crystal malt sweetness but also showing lots of tropical fruity hops. Big papaya, lychee and resinous hop notes. Amazing malt character too.
Nice syrupy body, could use a little more carbonation though.

Bottle from Plonk. Deep reddish-amber, frothy billowing head, nice crystal/caramel malts, citrus/pine hops, well balanced, easy drinking. Really nice.

Poured from the growler an opaque dark copper red with a light head. Yeast and sweet citrus aromas. Light carbonation and sirupy thick. A hit of sweet malt fills the palate followed by a mild bitterness that hangs around and doesn't let go.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler fill, deep chestnut amber red with low level champagne like carbonation. Thick off white head leaving nice lacework down the glass. Aromas of roasted malt and caramel dominate with some floral hints of resinous hop. Soft carbonic mouthfeel with a real malty punch mid palate, well rounded flavour with a classic nutty and bitter lingering finish.

Had on tap at the brewery. Lovely red colour. Nice sweet malt aromas. Good malt profile with initial taste and finishing with lovely hop bitterness.

Red hued amber with a frothy head and good lacing. Aromas of caramel biscuits and toast. Hop bitterness works through the entire beer, with flavours of cherry medicine, roasted malt and traces of alcohol despite only being 5%abv. Slightly over carbonated for a beer with such a big grain bill leaving a real fizz in the mouth (out of bottle, I didn't experience this on tap)

From a 330ml bottle on 13/9/2012. Pours a dark reddy brown with a medium bubbly head. Has quite a strong aroma of brown sugar, golden syrup, toffee and a bit of citrus fruit. The flavour is sweet and malty, with more brown sugar and toffee, treacle, and some dark fruit. It finishes with a relatively firm, lingering hop bitterness. The palate is syrupy. Another HopDog brew with quite a bit of character, but as per usual with this brewer, way over carbonated, which detracts from an otherwise enjoyable experience.
