COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If your dreaming of a christmas full of glistening tree tops, figgy pudding, sleigh bells and annoying carollers, then wake up! This holiday season Hopdog brings you White Christmas - a festive imperial Belgian Witbier. Brewed with a Santa-rific blend of malted wheat, oats and pale malt, hopped with a sack load of NZ Motueka hops and a late kettle addition of orange peel, coriander and white pepper to spice things up a little. Just like a quiet Christmas morn, but pale gold and topped with a crisp white head, Big Belgian yeast aromas mingle with the spice and the hops give plenty of fruity bitterness. This is not your average Witbier. Pop the green cap, and have a Merry Christmas!

Bottle from Slowbeer. Cloudy orange, massive frothy head (took 3 goes to get it all in the glass), lovely yeasty/spicy aroma, followed up with a pleasant mix of hop bitterness, fruity spice and alcohol. Not normally a Belgian or witbier fan, but really enjoyed this one.

Bottle sample, Pours hazy light amber, wonderful spicy yeasty aroma. The palate was crisp and had a big Belgian alcoholic kick, dryish finish.

Pours hazy amber with a large, fading head. Nose shows some doughy wheat, soft citrus, vegetal-like coriander. More citrus as a flavours along with some tropical fruit from the motueka. Could use more carbonation.

Bottle, 7C. Hazy orange, big clumps, white head fizzes away in short order. Aroma of wheat, oranges, coriander, passionfruit, booze. Quite carbonated. Sweet oranges, wheaty, light sugars, subdued spices, hints of tropical fruit. Tripelish bitterness lingers. Pleasant enough, but I’m not sure I really get the point of it.
