2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, 9%. Best before 99, 8 years ago. Bready aroma, quite vinous. Golden colour, lots of small floaties. Small white head. Quite bready flavour with some alcohol notes. Vinous, peppery and oxidized. Too old for me, but with enough alcohol to make it tolerable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pretty aged sample. Totally flunky, UFO-ridden yellow beer with orange shine; very small head. Nutty, pure old, stale sherry nose, old dry wood. Wry, woody taste, ink, walnut. Very strange flaovurs. Alcoholic MF, pretty well-bodied, near viscous. Beer is really 10 years old, but tastes as if it had 30. This is one of the most extreme "aged"-tasting beers I’ve ever sampled. Not satisfying.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(Bottle 33 cl) Another Bios-beer from the rich recipe-book by De Hopduvel in Gent. Dark golden with a rich, frothy head. Good head-retention, leaving laces when it finally collapses. Very fresh fruity almost flowery nose. And the same notes are detected in the flavours. A bit low in carbonation. Very potent but the alcohol is in no way unpleasant. Discreet hoppiness in the finish. A pleasant surprise. With a bit more spice and hops this could almost qualify for a Tripel. 110597 See label: http://home.tiscali.be/proud2b/beers.htm
