3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2007 33cl bottle
Consumed at an outdoor cafe in Gent, May 2006
Has a glowing yellow murky body, with a tall, proper white head with valleys and mountains of foamed formed from the pour. Has a ligght nose, some fruity pineapple and yeast scents. "Dry" smelling. Spritzy, sweet cloying old lemons and sugar is the flavor. Dry palate at times, but still cloying at others... so I don’t know what’s going on. Alcohol is too prominent, and overall it’s a bit sweeter than I like.

On tap at Max’s Belgian Fest. Off yellow with a spicy, fruity nose. Honey sweetness mixing with a tangy bitterness makes for a nice ride. Light on the tongue. Alcohol is well clouded.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ July 08. Light orange, almost clear, big frothy but no so stable head, very sparkling with a lot of large bubbles clinging to the glass bottom. Aroma: hoppy, orange peel, phenolic, rubbery, salty biscuits. Grainy taste with a tart, slightly citrusy background and a long, dry, bitter aftertaste. Somewhat thin, watery palate; long warm alcoholic finish.
