2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Near gushing to enormous, very dense & creamy off-white head, leaving some lace; clear golden colour. Dry nose, sugar, alcohol and coriander, faint citrussy. Horrible coriander overload, completely overpowering any other possible flavour, with the exception of a warm-sweet alcoholimpression. Slight slickness (the horrible weed too?). I’m developping an absolute coriander intolerance. Brewers will have to relearn to brew beer with beertaste, instead of making spiceinfusions. Send the lot to Franconia, for Pete’s sake!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Bottle 25 cl) My version at 7% ABV - based on a recipe from "De Hopduvel" in Gent. Rather pale golden with a huge, rocky head that refuses to vanish. Dry, bitter, slightly flat. Not the most thrilling Tripel. 150795

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2006 Bottled (BB 06/2008)
Pale yellow, small white head. Aroma is malty and fruity with hints of lemon and yeast. Carbonated, crispy and bitter mouthfeel, which turns to lemony aftertaste. Refreshing tripel, 8% is hidden very well. (7/2/7/3/12 3.1)
Pale hazy yellow, small mostly vanishing head. Fruity, sweet aroma, hints of honey. Semi-dry, carbonated, grassy, honey and mango flavors. Very dry aftertaste. A bit strange brew, week and not very tripel-like. (7/2/5/2/10 2.6)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours cloudy yellow with a frothy white head. Classic tripel aroma of hay, yeast and citrus with orange tones. Rather sweet. Thin sweet flavor with a sharp hayish finish. Tones of citrus. A typical tripel and not really my kind of beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light cloudy beer with a warm-golden color leaving a orange shine. Very lively, airy head. Fine maltyness in the nose with some hints of spices ending with some fruityness. This beer has a full taste with a light sweet touch that is ending in a unbalanced bitterness. In the aftertaste it is the bitter touch that takes the upperhand.
