Somewhat cloudy, slightly yellow colored beer, and it has a firm layer of foam. It smells somewhat wheat-like, like a weizen-beer with a touch of banana in the back of the mouth. It has a bitter taste, but the wheat returns in the aftertaste. Dry palate. A beer to relax for it. Ietwat troebel, lichtgeel bier, met een stevige kraag. Het heeft een tarwe-achtig "weizen"aroma. En iet banaanachtigs. De smaak is vol bitter, maar in de nasaak komt het tarweachtige weer naar boven. Droge afdronk, dus Een genietbiertje

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2013 Hazy golden and orange coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, light sugars, a touch of hops and quite a bit of dry, herbal notes. Medium-bodied; Slightly soapy flavour with a bunch of honey, curacao and wheatie flavours, all with a nice subdued herbal and grassy flavour. Aftertaste shows some nice sweetness, a bunch of fruit - orange, peach, apricot and pear flavours with a hint of herbs. Overall, a very nice beer - great to purchase in Gent and then sample close-by! I sampled this stubby 33 cL bottle purchased from de Hop Duvel in Gent, Belgium earlier today for €1,07 on 16-August-2013 sampled in my hotel room here in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg on 16-August-2013.

Bottle: Served in an Ikea taster (?): Had this beer before but not made a proper rating, so here we go, again: Bright yellow pour. Medium sized lively and with regular speed changing ashy white foamy head on top of a hazy yellow colored beer. Aromas of barley malts, cream, soap, porridge, banana, peach, grains, yeast, light harsher than normal... Flavours of malts, yeast, yeast fruits, banana, peach, harsher grains and floral tones, wheat, porridge, light bitter, hint of meat and malts. Aftertaste is a mix of grains, whet, bitter, floral, grass, yeast and light dry. Low to medium carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel with a sprinkle, medium bodied and a creamy texture. So many tripels, so few that are good...
