COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Using only dark malts combined with the freshness of Hopf's own yeast, promises a pleasant taste. An authentic dark wheat beer.

Cloudy mud brown with a lively tan head and spotty lace. Aromas of caramel malt, dark fruit, brown sugar and some spiciness. Flavors are similar, with the caramel sweetness dominant, but nicely offset by a grassy earth hop bitterness. Medium body, extraordinay pillowy soft mouthfeel, lively carbonation and a gently sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours dark, opaque brown with a thick, off white head which fades moderately quickly. Good lacing. Aroma is wheat, bubblegum and a hint of malt. Maybe also banana. Taste is sweet and has a bitterness in the after taste. Very filling with a thick, full body.

RexTalionis (2590) - FINLAND - JAN 26, 2013
Bottle 50 cl. Pours brown in color with a thick tan head. Sweet wheat, some sour notes and light roasted coffee notes in aroma. Wheat and some fruityness in taste. Sweet wheat in aftertaste with some hints of light roastedness also. Pleasant tasting dunkelzeizen, gotta like that chewy mouthfeel. Quite filling actually. Some chocolate in finish.

Bottle. Pours a rather hazy dark brown color with a somewhat small off-white head. Nose is light, with some yeast in there. Relatively little flavor, but tastes a little like a standard wheat beer. Meh.

Test vom 5.11.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,10,9,9,9 - 9,05

Dark ruby pour thick and foamy head. Sour hop aroma that matches taste. Wasn’t a huge fan but it grew on me a lil.

Bottle by 03.03.13. Nose with bubblegum and a hint of plastic, sweet with nice wheat and some orange peel. Cloud dark brown body with ruby edges and a dense, rocky light tan head. Taste is very sweet, candyish with red berry and bubblegum, fermentation again seems a little hot, mild yeast and alcohol in the light-medium body, still pretty drinkable.

Brown colour. Average mouthfeel. The cloves come out, not the banana, the sweetness of the dunkel makes it drinkable.
