33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika some years ago. Pours pitch black with a large, brown head. Solid roasty aroma with still a lot of hops, dark fruits, dark chocolate, licorice, herbs and hints of coffee and citrus. Sweet and high flavour intensity and still quite bitter. Feels somewhat balanced, and certainly interesting. Never got around to try this one fresh, but it still feels really hoppy. Certainly a nice one!

Bottle from a shop in Copenhagen (forgot which one). It has a bit unclean smell with some fenolic character, but also some roasted aromas. Similar taste. I have a feeling I had this too long in my cellar. I thought it was an Imperial Porter until I read the deScription.

Flaske 330ml spandert av Rune. Delt med ham og Skinnyviking på Nerstranda 14 Jan 15. Svart. Kjempehøyt kremaktig skum. Litt lacing. Aroma & smak av sjokolade. Litt lakris kommer lurende etter hvert. Et direkte behagelig øl. Alkoholen farlig godt kamuflert.

Bottle shared with Rune and Finn. High fluffy light brown head. Pitch black body. Clear and distinct not to say lovely roasted malt caramel coffee liquorice aroma. Flavor likewise of roasted malt caramel coffee with faint hints of wood and vanilla. Alcohol well hidden. Low carbonation. Long finish.

330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika a long time ago, shared back home with Finn and Skinnyviking. Solid creamy, light brownish coloued head leaving crocheted lacing behind. Jet back body content. Smell of strong roasted grainy malts. Dark chocolate flavours, herbal hops and liquorice with dark fruits beneath. Slightly roasted. Oily palate. Well bodied. Lovely (Tromsø 14.01.2015).

On tap at Crowbar. Chocolate, coffe and liquorice, in the aroma and in the flaor, and it all blends very well together. No real wow factor, though, but well crafted.

0.33l bottle. What’s the deal with the paper clip on the cap? Original. It anyhow pours a really deep dark brown almost oily brown body with a wonderfully looking big dark brown head. Looks pretty much as good as they can really. Super hoppy and really fresh nose! Did not expect such a fresh hoppy nose to be honest, cause this smells nice! Lots of fresh green pine cones here with both candy, hops, roasted malts and a little bit of sweet cognac blended in between. Quite impressive stuff indeed. The taste is even more impressive. Damn this is one tasty brew! Super hoppy and just loaded with licorice and wet dry rocks. (Yeah I know). Dry chocolate with cocoa and a mild burned smoky touch all the way. Super interesting, really tasty and just about one of the best and most interesting porters I’ve had in way to long. A hoppy monster, and I like hoppy monster porters. Damn good work! It’s not the last bottle I’ll be having of this beauty. 20.12.2013

Det här var juste, välbalanserart, mjukt och mörkt som själen min. Smaken bar toner av choklad, kaffe, druva och torkad frukt, kroppen var stabil och balansen fulländad.
