My Bottom Line:
Pears, tropical fruit, honey and lightly peppery spice coalesce in this perfectly cohesive Belgian-style Blond Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the misty golden shine.
-The malts are perfectly developed, the esters sit upon them harmoniously, and the hops add that fruity/spicy touch which make everything gel. Beautiful 3-tier balance, a rare occurence these days.
-Drinkability is optimal.
-Carbonation is soft yet ample.

On tap at Station Ho.st.

2015-02-14. Crisp dark yellow body with a nice creamy off white head and lace. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly spiced, with an interesting melange of florals and fruit notes. Touches of lemon. Flavour is moderately bitter throughout, touches of lemon and notes of a not quite peppery spice character. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. On tap at Station Host, Montreal.

On tap at the Montréal location, clean bright honey gold color, with a thick white head, with a nice fruity yeast, good floral tropical fruit, citrus, leafy hoppy nose, with some citric, rambutan, pineapple esters, with a light spicy peppery, spritzy grapefruit, lemon rind note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a yeasty, doughy, spicy flowery tropical fruit, citrus, leafy, grassy hoppy character, with some light pale, toasted, wheat crackery malt, lemon, grapefruit, green grapefruit zesty peel, passion fruit flavours, leading towards a nice fruity, tropical fruit, citrusy, leafy, grassy hop dry bitterness finish.

A blonde saison with a thin lacing frothy white head. In aroma, spiced fruity malt with light incense notes, coriander, curacao, very fragrant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of orange pulp, coriander, pepper notes, and Belgian hops. Very good. On tap at brewery.

In short: A doughy and very hoppy blonde Saison.
How: Tap at Station Ho.st (Hopfenstark Montreal taproom).
The look: Opaque yellow-blonde body topped by a medium white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is very hop-forward for a Saison, fruity esters blending with fruity hops to create a complex fruity aroma. In mouth the beer feels thick and chewy with a lively carbonation. Taste starts with very doughy and dry cereals, a light dusty and sawdust sensation, fruits flesh. This lasts an entire 0.5 second and then the more-than-generous hopping takes over leading to a dry fruity bitterness with a sandy character. Drinking craftbeer makes me happy, but sometimes I think I would be even happier by exercising and eating healthy and being in shape just to piss off my ex-girlfriends.

On cask at station host. Pour is hazy yellow with Iittle white head and decent lacing. Aroma of tropical hops, little citrus and light malts. Taste is tropical hops, moderate bitterness, fairly dry finish. Low body and minimal carb. Quenching and refreshing. Pretty good

On cask at the tasting room in Montreal. Light hazy gold pour with bubbly white head. Very good tropical hop aroma, pretty sure it’s galaxy or maybe mosaic, something like that. Taste of light bready notes, fruity hops, light bitterness. Quite easy drinking, enjoyed it a lot.
