| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2009 750 mL bottle (Trade from JulienHuxley). Bit of a gusher when opened, but that may simply be due to interprovincial shipping. Cloudy orange with golden highlights. Large white head shrinks, but never disappears. Coriander, a bit of orange, black pepper, and wheat in the nose. Flavour is interesting, and is different from many of those identical wits available out there. For starters, it’s a little spicier, but it’s not just coriander. It is spice is subtle in strength, but complex in flavour. Wheat and citrus are in balance. There is also a fruity sweetness that lingers through the finish, mingled with a mild bitterness. Body is quite full, for the style. Excellent brew. Thanks, Julien. cfrancis (414), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

App.: Cloudy orange-golden with a large white foam.
Aroma: Quite Saison-sorta-Lambic-ish with some definite Brett notes, bitter herbs and sourness, lots of thick yeast and bread dough, some nice bright citrus notes, bread and toast, raw wheat, earthy coriander.
Palate: Medium body and quite lively effervescence.
Flav.: Lots of lemony zing, wheat, plenty of Brett funk and brightness, still some nice wheat and light esters, earthy coriander, yeast/bread dough; off-dry with a bit of bitterness, light tang and a pleasant citrusy finish.
Quite different and pleasant. May have been a mistake, but it is a fortunate error. Reminds me a great deal of Orval. Huh... JulienHuxley (278), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada
