Appearance: Bright citrus gold ale with fine creamy top , fragmental lacing.3+
Nose: Straight , clean wheat aroma , slightly drying feel of wheat’s …
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied , mild with slight citric orange feel blended well with its wheat base solution , yeasty side. Traditionally solid example. Recommended.
PaulHegedus (188), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Oct 27, 2008 Draught at Volo, Cask Days, October 2008. Cloudy yellow with a large persistant head, poured as a 4 oz taster filling only half the glass, but the head took up most of the rest. The aroma on this is wonderful: lemon, yeast, with plenty of bubblegum. I have ’corn husk’ written down here...hmm. The flavour is slightly sour, yeasty with lemon, sour white grapefruit. A wonderful example of the witbier style. DougShoemaker (2680), Toronto, Canada Oct 26, 2008 On tap @ Volo Cask Days 08.
Aroma is a very spicy lemon, yeast(reminiscent of a saison) cloudy, yellow, small white head. Flavour is again a spicy lemon, yeast, slight wheat. Light bodied, very spritzy, lots of carbonation. Terrific! jerc (3330), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2008 2008-10-17. Murky but bright pastel yellow with a modest white head. (3+) Zippy yeasty aroma with a kiss of lemon (7+) Flavour is the standard complement of wit characteristics, but very well executed. Yeast, touch of lemon tartness. More oomph than most wits can produce - just more of everything, but in proportion. (7+) Average plus palate. (3+) Rather good, went back for more! On tap @ Volo Cask Days 2008
