Itís not a smoke beer. Itís not a tart Berliner Weisse. Itís maybe a weird saison. BerlinerRauchSaison. Yes! Low gravity beer with good presence of wheat. A small layer of smoke malt disappears after a few sips. And light tartness and spice from the Saison yeast. Refreshing and flavourful at the same time.

Bottle,75cl corked. Itís an unclear, yellowish orange beer with a nice, white head. The aroma has some smoked malts, a fruity touch, some pale malts and hints of grains and beef jerky. Itís medium to thin bodied, dry and soft on the palate, low carbonation level. Some sweetness in the flavor, with salt, something herbal and spiced, feeling like coriander, still not, and a faint bitterness. Lasting finish. Very refreshing and easy drinkable this one, and tasteful too. 140502

Hazy blonde. Light bubbly head. Smokey and with a little tartness. Sour and a little smokey. Good beer, but not as complex as I might have hoped for.

Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is lightly, lightly smoky with something like a non-sour Berliner Weisse background. Med body, almost. Flavor is lightly smoky, and thereís something like earthy lemon. Itís certainly not sour, but it is arguably tart. Itís certainly different, and itís working pretty well on a hot evening. Iím liking it more and more.

A hazed yellow wit with a thin white head. In aroma, light fruity esters with faint smokey notes. In mouth, an explosion of bananas overlayed with smooth smokey notes, a bit of cloves, light and refreshing. On tap at Braises et Houblons, May 1 2011.

SO much flavour at 3.8%, enjoyed on tap at Mondiale 2011. Big smoke yet pleasant, sweetish and medium moutheel. Hops right there, pilsner, saison yeast yields some yeasty flavour, unfiltered on tap version. A small head. I would have this frequently if I could.Only a little head.

Tap at Toronto Fest of Beer. Hazy yellow pour with a tight white head. The nose is light and a bit peppery. Some light spicy/fruity yeast along with a bit of light smoke. Fairly smoky on he palate with a nice bit of beech wood and some banana. Moderately hoppy with a nice fruity banana flavour. Not much to complain about.
