Hazy blonde. Light bubbly head. Smokey and with a little tartness. Sour and a little smokey. Good beer, but not as complex as I might have hoped for.

Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is lightly, lightly smoky with something like a non-sour Berliner Weisse background. Med body, almost. Flavor is lightly smoky, and there’s something like earthy lemon. It’s certainly not sour, but it is arguably tart. It’s certainly different, and it’s working pretty well on a hot evening. I’m liking it more and more.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (8247) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 28, 2011
A hazed yellow wit with a thin white head. In aroma, light fruity esters with faint smokey notes. In mouth, an explosion of bananas overlayed with smooth smokey notes, a bit of cloves, light and refreshing. On tap at Braises et Houblons, May 1 2011.

@Mondial de la Bière 2012, Montreal - hazy bright blond-orange beer with a little foam left; aroma of straw and popcorn; medium-bodied and pretty tasty; quite dry with a long corny finish; notes of straw and hay with lingering spicy notes
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JoeMcPhee (7625) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 31, 2012
Tap at Toronto Fest of Beer. Hazy yellow pour with a tight white head. The nose is light and a bit peppery. Some light spicy/fruity yeast along with a bit of light smoke. Fairly smoky on he palate with a nice bit of beech wood and some banana. Moderately hoppy with a nice fruity banana flavour. Not much to complain about.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Sammy (7041) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 15, 2011
SO much flavour at 3.8%, enjoyed on tap at Mondiale 2011. Big smoke yet pleasant, sweetish and medium moutheel. Hops right there, pilsner, saison yeast yields some yeasty flavour, unfiltered on tap version. A small head. I would have this frequently if I could.Only a little head.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 22, 2011
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2012 My Bottom Line:
Beechwood smoke uplifts this creative brew’s citrusy, lactic subtleties, while fierce bubbling, wheat and levelled banana esters enhance the impression of refreshment.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sturdy head of foam protects the hazy pale blond.
-The mouthfeel is not overtly dry, but this is not sweet either.
-This beer sounds crazier than it tastes. Low-gravity Smoked Saison? Whatever, it’s delicious and highly drinkable.
-The beechwood smoke flavors are heavenly from aroma to finish.
-All flavors are quite harmonious, surprisingly enough.
-This is amazingly drinkable, yet the intensity of the flavor profile is higher than your usual low-gravity brew. A session ale for beer geeks?
Bottles.

2012-06-07. Hazy pastel dark yellow, large off-white head and lace. 3+ Flavour is modest, light smoke grows slowly, pale malt, mild sweet cereals, light bitterness, hints at florals and orange blossom. Modest smoke in aroma, light grainy cereals. Smooth average plus body with very soft carbonation (it may have lost some in a fairly foamy pour). 3+ Decent it is quite flavourful for such a low abv beer. On tap at Mondial, 3T, Montreal
