presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Mar 17, 2009 Pub. 2007 vintage. No head. Orange-rose colour. Sour scent, strong with no real fruit presence. tasty dry light raspberry. Finish has a building sourness. radiomgb (1920), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Feb 16, 2009 Hazy peach in colour with a thin white head, patchy lacing. The aroma is wheaty, light fruit with only some raspberries, some tartness. The flavour is sharp, acidic, light in the raspberries again, some sweetness. Sour mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes sharp and acidic before turning sweet.
The aroma makes it seems like you shouldn’t expect much but the flavour and finish make up for that. A bit light on the raspberries though, the result of the oak aging?
Bottle at Mondial 2008, Montreal, Quebec.

tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 17, 2009 Sour aroma is almost lambic-like but there are some sweet vanilla notes and an almost floral. soap-like component. Hazy amber coloured body is topped by a thin, white, large bubbled, fully diminishing head. Tart raspberry flavour with some lactic character. Wheat and raspberries linger in the aftertaste. I’m getting more fruit than funk but the underlying character is certainly Belgian inspired. Medium-light body with moderate unobtrusive carbonation that neither helps nor hinders enjoyment. Tulip glass. Bottle purchased at the brewery Jun-08. Lubiere (4440), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 24, 2008 A pink rosy beer with a thin big bubbled white head. Very nice barnyard and raspberry aroma, strong Brett, and acids. Effervescent and tart in mouth, raspberry meeting Brettanomyces, woody notes and aged cheese. Rich and interesting. Thanks Hopfenstark! Bought at brewery. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 15, 2008 [1245-20080401] Bottle. Raspberry tart aroma with a funk sourness and mildly sweaty wood. Hazy, light red pink body with no head. Light sour ’funk’ flavour is like fruity raspberry sour juice from a barrel. Medium body, sour. Enjoyable.
(c/o a friend) Sammy (3922), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 31, 2008 Limited edition enjoyed at Mondiale 2008. This is the raspberry juiced beer aged for 3 months in oak, . The aroma is of the oak. The woody taste dominates. Much more enjoyable than a fruit beer.
