Pinkish golden hazy beer with an acidic white head. Strong aroma of acetone and tart raspberries. Taste is quite a lot of raspberry, an vinegar, not really tasting any oak but it’s not a bad beer.

Bottle 750ml. Pours very nice amber. Aroma is of fruits (raspeberries), vinegar, brine. Taste is of fruits (raspberries), vinegar, acid, brine. Palate: Ligth-medium body. Overall: Very acetic. Too much acid for me, I don’t drink vinegar usually, and there is a reason for it. Still an original brew.

czar (4159) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 13, 2013
pours hazy amber-reddish with a small off-white cap, little retention. raspberry jam, acesulfame-potassium-like sugar, some fresh red frutis, fairly present acetic notes that prove some with a peppery and tingling (a lot) finish.soft carbonation, light body - oily, short lightly grassy and acidic finish. o-k, even though vinagry mouthfeel is quite dirturbing here.

Bottle (750 ml). Shared by czar, thanks! Hazy amber/pinkish with almost no head. Aroma is of raspberry jam with strong acetic notes. Taste is aggressive with loads of raspberries (jam) and strong acetic/vinegar notes. Extremely dry mouthfeel. Mouth puckering. No alcohol. This beer lacks of balance but I still enjoyed it pretty much. Too aggressive to be easily drinkable though.

Bouteille 750mL. 2012 unblended.

Bottle of the 2012 during their anniversary party, courtesy of Dany’s brother. Pours a not quite clear gold with a thin to medium sized white head. Cheesy and fruity on the nose. Soft raspberry and cereal. A little bit funky and acetic on the nose as well. Full of acetic acid right away, big and heavy with it. Lots of cheesy funk, heavy acetic acid, a touch of lactic. Aftertaste of cheese balls, a bit of raspberry and more acetice acid. Hmmm. Not sure what to make of this.

Pours a hazy peachy color with almost no head. Amazing aroma of raspberries, some sourness and a strong dose of belgian funk. Superb flavor of raspberries, oak, sourness and belgian funk. The body is light with an oily texture and soft carbonation. This beer is the answer to the question : What if Jolly Pumpkin would do a raspberry beer? Yes, it’s THAT GOOD!
