On tap at Vices & Versa. Dark black pour with a tan head. Aroma is charcoal and torrefied grain. Nice roasted flavours with some caramel. Smooth creamy mouthfeel.

cask @ Beer Table. Chocolate malt aromas with hints of funk. Pours black with a thin tan head. Very light, very malty, light on the palate, light chocolate with molasses, spicy hops. Extremely smooth and easy to drink, excellent cask conditioned ale!

[2236-20090605] Tap. Mild coffee roast aroma with some toasted wood. Black body with a medium-lasting creamy tan head. More roast malt flavour has a long roast finish. Medium body. Nice, drinkable.

Tap at Vices et Versa. Dark black-brown beer with a thin white head. Aroma is quite coffeeish and roasty with a bit of lightly herbal character. A light anise seed character and a bit of heavy roastiness. Sort of light and a little bit molassessy. A touch of treacly swetness and a light coffeeish roastiness. A nice solid porter.

Bottle - 750ml. Pours a black body with an average beige frothy head. Enjoyable malty/hoppy aroma with coffeeish, roasty, and chocolate hints. Taste is sharp, well balanced and ends with a decent bitter/roasty finish. Well done. Thanks to René for this bottle.

a solid porter, good roasted malt, and coffee notes, a touch watery, but overall a good session porter, not too heavy, and flavorful.

Draft. Pitch black with a medium mocha head with great retention. Aroma is pretty faint with chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate and coffee with a bitter finish. Medium body with a slightly watery mouthfeel.
