Pours brown lots of coffee and maybe some english breakfast tea in the background. Reasonably rich mouthfeel, and quite sessionable.

Pours black with a small beige ring. Aroma is small roasted malts, coffee and bitter chocolate. Taste is light body, actually fairly thin, roasted malts, coffee and bitter finish. Looking for more ooomph.

This pours a very dark opaque brown with a huge fizzy light brown head that fizzles out. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, bready grains, and some sweetness. Flavour is made up of roasted malts, chocolate, bready, and a medium bitterness. Way too carbonated for my liking.

Pours a dark brown with a bubbly brown head. Aroma is roasted bready malts, chocolate and some slight grassy hops. Taste is roasted malts, caramel, cocoa and a big bitter punch on the finish. Over this beer smells great and tastes good but has a huge carbonation that really kills the mouth feel and overall experience of this porter. Not a big fan.

En fût. Verre de 12 oz dégusté directement à la brasserie lors du party 6e anniversaire. Arôme: Odeur de céréales grillées avec une pointe chocolatée. Apparence: La couleur est noire. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de torréfaction et de chocolat avec une pointe de caramel. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de café en arrière goût. (Rating #4648)

Bottle: Poured a deep black color porter with a medium size light brown foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of black chocolate notes with some cocoa and light dry roasted notes. Taste is also heavy on the black chocolate which is not a bad thing with some great notes of cocoa and light dry roasted finale with hints of coffee. Boyd is smooth with some creamy texture and good carbonation. Easy drinking porter with just enough complexity.

Bouteille 750ml. De couleur noire et opaque. Nez de café, de malt rôti, moyen de chocolat noir, léger de fumée de bois avec des notes de caramel, de houblon herbeux et d’érable. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-doux ainsi qu’une texture aux notes crémeuses. Léger goût de chocolat aux faibles traces acides avec un très léger goût de fumée de bois lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute rapidement un goût de malt rôti avec des notes de pain grillé et de caramel sucré puis en finale l’on retrouve un léger-moyen goût de café accompagné d’une légère amertume de houblon herbeux aux faibles notes terreuses. Post-goût moyen-long et aux notes sèches, léger-moyen amer de rôti, léger de houblon herbeux et de café avec des petites notes de chocolat noir.

Dans mon jargon semi-poétique, je la décrirais comme étant douce et crémeuse avec des notes de chocolat. Le malt torréfié ressort plus que le houblon. C’est bien balancé et les 750 ml sont bus dans le temps de crier un autre mot que «ciseaux» pour être plus original!

Bouteille de 750ml. capsule métallique. Bière brune très foncée presque noire avec une mousse crémeuse brune et épaisse. Le malt rôti domine le nez, il y a beaucoup de torréfaction avec des notes chocolatés. Le liquide est crémeux en bouche, il semble que l’avoine a fait son travail. Une touche fruité apparait et la finale est chocolaté, crémeuse et réussie. 7/10

750 ml bottle. Pours pitch black with a short lasting beige head. Smell is chocolate and coffee. Taste is milk chocolate, coffee, ripe red berries. Rather on the sweet side. Finish is a subtle roast bitterness. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Good, but not legendary.
